I already answered some day to this thread, but want to add two singers that i might not have mentioned. One is Ismo Alanko, he really has such a great voice, very sensual also. The other one is Samuli Mäkisalo of Pohjannaula. He has a somewhat similar voice to Ismo, a very warm voice. But... both are no metal singers

I will have to say Antti Hyyrynen (may known better as Hyrde) of Stam1na. He's clean voice is such pleasure to listen to and he also has a great technique in all kinds of singing (from screaming to "growling"). Also Jouni Hynynen of Kotiteollisuus (my mother say's his voice is similar with Alanko's voice), Hynynen has such an extraordinary deep, different voice. He has a huge scale, especially in the bass-side.

Vintersorg is a great singer. And Christopher Lee, I like deep baritone and bas vocals. From some higher power vocals Fabio Lione from Rhapsody is my No. 1. There are also some great growl vocals from Kromlek, old Finntroll, Morphia etc
I like female vocals like Tarja Turunen, Ine from Elexorien etc

I enjoy Devin Townsend and the singer from Kamelot.. I think the singer from Kamelot has an excellent voice.
Matt Barlow has a pretty epic voice too (Iced Earth)

From the metal singers I like the most: Hansi Kursch from Blind Guardian (God blessed him himself with his voice...) Joacim Cans from Hammerfall (especially for the ultimate-softness of his voice in ballads like "The Fallen One" or "Always will be"... simply amazing) This guy from Falconer... but only for the traditional songs they make like "Himmel sa Trind" or "Per Tyssons dotrrar I Vange". Another soft-voice xD Bruce Dickinson - I THROW MYSELF INTO THE SEA!.... (no more comment xD) These guys from "The Human Equation" of Ayreon... all of them! Males and females. From non-metal: Anthony Kiedis (RHCP) - Oh my... It's a SYMBOL! Not a voice xD Jacek Kaczmarski - probably no one will ever know him. It's a kind of national singer of Poland during '70-'90 years. Greatest poet and singer to the last of his days. He has died due to cancer of the larynx... for me it's the most tragic cause of death for men who has "sacrificed" his life for singing. Brennans Family... God bless CLANNAD! ^^ MEEEEE!!!!! ;D.............................. And above ALL of THEM! JONNE JARVELA xD But... well... the topic "excludes" him a bit... xDD

Brennans Family... God bless CLANNAD! ^^ Why the eyebrows-symbol? I totally love Clannad. I will see them live in Munich in November (for the first time in life, after they are around for 30 years already). I don't care if people consider them being schmalzy, their music belongs to the best in the world.

I think a real good voice has got Petri Lindroos, the singer from Ensiferum. He has realy good skills! But i think his forerunner Jari Mäenpää is a lil bit better

Bruce Dickinson - I THROW MYSELF INTO THE SEA!.... (no more comment xD) Yeah.....there's no word to discribe it...but the next line: "Release the wave let it wash over me..." more enchanting!!!There's tones of emotion in this dwarf man's voice! ;D And I know another man(he isn't dwarf... )who has similar voice. Not as trained(he isn't a really singer) but I love!He is Piotr Wawrzeniuk(ex-Therion).

I have a top 5 list: 1. Peter Espevoll (Extol) He has a very wide range of vocal styles. He can use his grinding vocals, his shreiks, and his singing voice in one song and pull it off in a cool way. 2. Jari Mäenpää (Ensiferum, Wintersun) His vocal range really fits the atmosphere of the music. The screams fit verry well in songs like "Beautyful Death" and "Winter Madness" yet his singing has a very epic sound to it in songs like "Sadness And Hate" and "Death And The Healing". 3. Wednesday 13 (Murderdolls, Wednesday 13) Very good style of singing. It is very unique. It's hard to explain, you just gotta hear it. 4. Johan Hegg (Amon Amarth) His growls are not the most unique, but they have a certan feel to them that no other band has in the death metal scene. 5. Abbath (Immortal, I) His voice has this dirty and uneasyness to it that gives me the chills. His shrieks are not very clean cut, but that is what makes them great. Just take a listen to "Mighty Raven Dark" and you will see what I mean.
