Bathory - Hammerheart
Now that the wind called my name And my star had faded now hardly a glimpse up in the empty space And the wise one-eyed great father in the sky stilled my flame
For the ones who stood me near And you few who were me dear I ask of thee to have no doubts and no fears
For when the great clouds fills the air And the thunder roars from o, so far away up in the sky Then for sure you will know that I have reached the joyous hall up high
With my bloodbrothers at side All sons of father with one eye We were all born in the land of the blood on ice
And now you all who might hear my song Brought to you by the northern wind have no fear Though the night may seem so everlasting and forever dark
There will come a golden dawn At ends of nights for all yee on whom Upon the northstar always shines
The vast gates to hall up high Shall stand open wide and welcome you with all its within And Oden shall hail us bearers of a pounding hammerheart

En Las Calles De Madrid
Madrid...
In The Streets Of Madrid
Madrid... There's only one secret that has brought me here Silence has died in the streets of Madrid. Ceeseepe's(1) soul beats inside of me, Make me go to waste, death will be sweet... In Madrid.
When the hooligans reach power, And Dandies show their brazennes. When their women has refused to grow old. When insanity has vanquished old age
Madrid... Give me a ride in your car to get some vice, Search in the radio waves somebody talking for me. Tell Pepe Risi(2) he can smile now He killed the silence in the streets of... Madrid
1: A comic drawer and painter during the eighties 2: Leader of "Burning", rock band from Madrid in the last 70's and 80's; he died ten years ago on his fourties after a week of drugs and alcohol. He wrote the famous song "Que hace una chica como tu" (What's doing a girl like you), one of the hymns of Spanish rock music

Bob Dylan- It's all over now, baby blue You must leave now, take what you need, you think will last. But whatever you wish to keep, you better grab it fast. Yonder stands your orphan with his gun, Crying like a fire in the sun. Look out the saints are comin' through And it's all over now, Baby Blue.
The highway is for gamblers, better use your sense. Take what you have gathered from coincidence. The empty-handed painter from your streets Is drawing crazy patterns on your sheets. This sky, too, is folding under you And it's all over now, Baby Blue.
All your seasick sailors, they are rowing home. All your reindeer armies, are all going home. The lover who just walked out your door Has taken all his blankets from the floor. The carpet, too, is moving under you And it's all over now, Baby Blue.
Leave your stepping stones behind, something calls for you. Forget the dead you've left, they will not follow you. The vagabond who's rapping at your door Is standing in the clothes that you once wore. Strike another match, go start anew And it's all over now, Baby Blue
Pink Floyd- Paranoid eyes
Button your lip don't let the shield slip take a fresh grip on your bullet proof mask and if they try to break down your disguise with their questions you can hide hide hide behind paranoid eyes
You put on your brave face and slip over the road for a jar fixing your grin as you casually lean on the bar laughing too loud at the rest of the world with the boys in the crowd you hide hide hide behind petrified eyes
you believed in their stories of fame fortune and glory now you're lost in a haze of alcohol soft middle age the pie in the sky turned out to be miles too high and you hide hide hide behind brown and mild eyes

Song to the Siren - Originally by Tim Buckley, but I prefer the cover by This Mortal Coil for its ethereal aching beauty.
Long afloat on shipless oceans I did all my best to smile Til your singing eyes and fingers Drew me loving into your isle And you sang "Sail to me, sail to me Let me enfold you" Here I am, here I am Waiting to hold you
Did I dream you dreamed about me? Were you hare when I was fox? Now my foolish boat is leaning Broken lovelorn on your rocks For you sang "Touch me not, touch me not Come back tomorrow" Oh my heart, oh my heart shies from the sorrow
I'm as puzzled as a newborn child I'm as riddled as the tide Should I stand amid the breakers? Or shall I lie with death my bride? Here me sing: "Swim to me, swim to me Let me enfold you"
"Here I am, here I am, waiting to hold you"

I've been trying to remember where the hell I had listened to this song, in which Tv advert. Now I'm nearer, it was on a perfume advert.

ANOUK "One Word"
I close my eyes And imagine you're here Did it all seem so hopeless Given the chance I would ask Forgive me I didn't do a thing to make you stay I didn't say a word to make you stay If I would have known Could I have tried to make it easier But I didn't do a thing Or say a word One word
And I don't know why you're gone, now you're gone No beautiful goodbye You will never leave my mind And it turns out to be so much different than our dreams Now you're, you're a star in heaven
My thoughts unsaid Stuck in my head And it all feels so useless Never forget to give all I have Forgive me I couldn't do a thing to make you stay And I couldn't say a word to make you stay If I could have known Could I have tried to make it easier But I couldn't do a thing Or say a word One word
And I don't know why you're gone, now you're gone No beautiful goodbye You will never leave my mind And it turns out to be so much different than our dreams Now you're, yeah you're a star in heaven
Still I don't know why you're gone, now you're gone No beautiful goodbye You will never leave my mind And it turns out to be so much different than our dreams Now you're, you're a star in heaven You're a star in heaven now You're a star in heaven Yeah you're my star

christy moore-ride on.
True you ride the finest horse I've ever seen Standing sixteen, one or two, with eyes wild and green You ride the horse so well, hands light to the touch I could never go with you no matter how I wanted to
Ride on, see you, I could never go with you No matter how I wanted to
When you ride into the night without a trace behind Run your claw along my gut, one last time I turn to face an empty space, where you used to lie And look for a spark that lights the night Through a teardrop in my eye

When I took my train back home at Atocha station after working, I was listening to Aerosmith in my mp3 player; it has begun to sound the song whose lyrics I'll put below, "What it Takes". Sometimes when I hear this song it makes me smile since it was the first song that was played at my cd-player right after my last girlfriend broke our relationship; quite ironic that this one was played at that moment. The worse part of that, well, this girl at that moment begun a tradition that it's been repeating for two years, girls dissappearing from my life with no explanation at all after showing a great interest on me. This makes me really angry, I find it unpolite, even coward if you allow me. I don't know, even the worse criminal is explained why he's put to jail!!! So I can't find this behaviour quite pious. This has taken place several times in the last two years; recently with a girl I knew a month ago, who hung her arms around my neck in a pub... and she was not drunk, though I really was. But well, that's not the case, it's just that I can't understand why people show so much interest on somebody just to let him/her down with no explanation; it's normal if afterwards you start to wonder what has happened and how to take the result, and that's what this song is about. So let me dedicate this Aerosmith's lyrics to Laura, the begginer of this new Olimpic sport: "teasing Davy"
AEROSMITH: "What It Takes"
There goes my old girlfriend, there's another diamond ring And, uh, all those late night promises I guess they don't mean a thing So baby, what's the story? Did you find another man? Is it easy to sleep in the bed that we made? When you don't look back I guess the feelings start to fade away. I used to feel your fire But now it's cold inside And you're back on the street like you didn't miss a beat, yeah
Chorus: Tell me what it takes to let you go Tell me how the pain's supposed to go Tell me how it is that you can sleep in the night Without thinking you lost everything that was good in your life to the toss of the dice? Tell me what it takes to let you go.
Yeah Girl, before I met you I was F.I.N.E. Fine but your love made me a prisoner, yeah my heart's been doing time You spent me up like money, then you hung me out to dry It was easy to keep all your lies in disguise Cause you had me in deep with the devil in your eyes
Chorus Guitar!
Tell me that you're happy that you're on your own Yeah, yeah, yeah Tell me that it's better when you're all alone Tell me that your body doesn't miss my touch Tell me that my lovin' didn't mean that much Tell me you ain't dyin' when you're cryin' for me
Chorus
Tell me what it takes to let you go Tell me how the pain's supposed to go Tell me how it is that you can sleep in the night Without thinking you lost everything that was good in your life to the toss of the dice? Tell me who's to blame for thinkin' twice No no no no 'cause I don't wanna burn in paradise Ooo Let go, let go, let go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go I don't wanna burn, I don't wanna burn

Leonard Cohen- Is this what you wanted You were the promise at dawn, I was the morning after. You were Jesus Christ my Lord, I was the money lender. You were the sensitive woman, I was the very reverend Freud. You were the manual orgasm, I was the dirty little boy. And is this what you wanted to live in a house that is haunted by the ghost of you and me?
You were Marlon Brando, I was Steve McQueen. You were K.Y. Jelly, I was Vaseline. You were the father of modern medicine, I was Mr. Clean. You where the whore and the beast of Babylon, I was Rin Tin Tin.
And is this what you wanted ...
You got old and wrinkled, I stayed seventeen. You lusted after so many, I lay here with one. You defied your solitude, I came through alone. You said you could never love me, I undid your gown.
And is this what you wanted ... I mean is this what you wanted ... That's right, is this what you wanted ...

Falkenbach - Into The Ardent Awaited Land...
Beyond the twilight horizon Above the shadow of the horses hooves A maiden behind a golden shield In a chariot rides across the sky
Two ravens are above us A long forgotten tale How it is to reach the utter hail And the eyes of the Valkyrior caress your heart...
Once you will open your eyes While a maiden is kneeing at your side And she will kiss you to awake For you will stride the mighty rainbowbridge
Two ravens are above you They will show you the final way Across the rivers and over the mountains Into the ardent awaited land

Ok, first: I like Stratovarius and their music. But the following lyric is just so flat and boring, sorry, but....
Late at night I find myself again wondering and watching tv. I can't believe what's on the screen, something that I wouldn't care to see. Many rare species will perish soon and we'll be short on food. Why do we have to be so selfish, we've got to change our attitude. I know that I am no the only one that's worried, why don't we all wake up, and realize. Like the birds in the sky we are flying so high, without making any kind of sacrifice. We've got so little time to undo this crime or we'll lose our Paradise. It seems to me that there's no sense at all, nobody cares it's always the same. Mother nature's crying out in pain I know we're the one's to blame.

'I Love You So Much It Hurts'
I love you so much it hurts me Darlin' that's why I'm so blue I'm so afraid to go to bed at night Afraid of losing you I love you so much it hurts me And there's nothing I can do I want to hold you my dear Forever and ever
I love you so much it hurts me so
I love you so much it hurts me And there's nothing I can do I want to hold you my dear Forever and ever
I want to hold you my dear Forever and ever
I love you so much it hurts me so

The Protagonist - The Eternal Abjectness Of Life.
To love at a distance and without hope ; never to possess ; to dream chastely of pale charms and impossible kisses ex- tinguished on the waxen brow of death : ah, that is some- thing like it. A delicious straying away from the world, and never the return. As only the unreal is not ignoble and empty, existance must be admitted to be abominable. Yes, imagination is the only good thing which heaven vouch- safes to the skeptic and pessimist, alarmed by the eternal abjectness of life."
