Please, we've got too much of these simple listing threads already without this-one, thus comments would be more than required at this point. No offence.

Great topic Noaide, and you have chosen a personal favourite video of mine - Ozzy's Back on Earth.
I love video clips and I'm always interested to see how the right clip can lift an ordinary song to extraordinary, or the wrong clip can remove all the amazing elements of a song and make it boring.
I have more than 600 video clips on my computer, and about 16 hours on video, so I'll have to have a think about it before I post my list.

1. Madonna - Frozen(to me this video is a classic. Madonna in black in the desert with black crows and a running dog. What else do you need from a good video? And I also like the song very much! One of my favourites from her. Madonna uselly haves really good music videos, expect the new ones for her newest album. They're simply ridicilous!) 2. Mari Boine - ?(well...I don't remember the name of this song but I saw this music video in a documentary about Mari Boine, who's work my mother is very fond of. The video tells about how the christian scandinaves burn a shaman drum and hurt the native samis and it's focused on the sami boy's eyes. It's very cruel but it it left me thinking) 3. Korpiklaani - Beer Beer (there are many good videos from this band, we all know that but i've chosen this one because it's the newest and when you watch it you feel like you're on the tour with them! And in the end there's a piece korpiklaani playing live and their live playing is truely awesome.) 4. Verka Serduchka - Ho-ro-sho!(I don't generally like Verka Serduchka - an ukrainian drag queen artist/a singer very much but this song is really good! I can hear the humppa in it And when I saw this video first time I was like "what's that?" but the sound of it is just so brilliant and it's very humoristic. 5. Björk - Bachelorette(My dear mother listens Björk's music a lot and i've noticed that she has the best videos ever! They're each like a movie. This video tells about a book found in the forests and you can just admire the person who really created this video in her/his head. I cannot explain it..you just have to see it with your own eyes.)

I just wonder how many possible Eloxorien fans that video has driven away. Atleast I can't never take them seriously because I got my first impression of them from that video and it wasn't a good one. But to the actually good videos: 1. Bathory - One rode to Asa bay - Grand, epic and really well made and acted. The characters, video, story and music suit all together seamlesly. The best music video ever made. 2. Manowar - Gloves of metal - Just like the B-quality barbarian movies in the 80's but even cheesier ;D The video and the song suit well together, explosions and swordfights around a campfire plus epic mid-tempo heavy metal = awesome. 3. Motörhead - Killed by death - Lemmy drives through walls with his bike and gets shot! The end is the best one ever, laughed so badly I was bound to choke ;D 4. Keel - Right to rock"America 1989... Rock has been driven underground. The outhorities stalk pirate broadcasters and their followers. Those who are apprehended suffer severe consequences." A bunch of FBI agents chase a metalhead kid (who has hair just like Blackie Lawless!) around the city but the kid gets help from some motorist and they end up on Keel gig. Flying guitars, explosions, choppers, fists-trough-walls and all kinds of cool stuff. 5. Mötley Crüe - Looks that kill- Caveman women that are afraid of fire! Goddess that shoots lasers! Explosions! What else a good video does need? Kädet siipinä deserves to be mentioned for it's great atmosphere, but the big minus is that even I've watched it far over 10 times I still don't get the story in it. The guys take the dead guy to somewhere, supposedly they're bound to bury him. Then Jonne carries some sack, Cane goes into a cottage and something runs behind the wall and at the end Jonne takes a torch to the wooden idols. I would propably enjoy the video a lot more if I figured the plot out, so would anyone bother to explain it to me?

2: Nightwish: i wish i had an angel hmm...no offence, but what the hell is good about that vid? maybe the song is nice and so on, but in the vid, nothing happens, ecept the guys are playing, and a lot of expensive recording effects are blowing around...thats all...for me anyway

1. Johnny Cash - Hurt When Johnny Cash sings this song it has a whole new dimension, and the video clip just adds to that. It shows him at the end of his life, in his weakness and frailty, and contrasts this with footage of his youthful strength and good looks. But the clip also manages to show the wisdom and self-awareness accumulated over a lifetime. It moves me every time I watch it.
2. Radiohead - Just I love the plot in this clip - a man is lying in the middle of the footpath, a crowd accumulates around him, and he refuses to tell people why he is lying there, saying "it wouldn't be right." The final shot is the entire crowd lying down on the footpath around him. Now if only I knew what it meant...
3. Depeche Mode - Enjoy the Silence What clip do you make for a song about silence? Dave Gahan drags a chair around with him and sits in various landscapes, drinking in the view. Perfect.
4. Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds - The Weeping Song Nick and Blixa, sitting in a boat, riding across waves of rippling black plastic. They play a father and son having a conversation. Simple and very effective.
5. Nine Inch Nails - The Perfect Drug Say what you like, I pretty much love all the Nine Inch Nails clips. Trent understands the extra dimension a clip adds to the interpretation of a song, and his clips do an excellent job of it. I could have chosen Head Like a Hole, Hurt, Wish, March of the Pigs, etc but The Perfect Drug just edges ahead.

1. Korpiklaani - Wooden Pints (special greetz to Hitta and his furious escape from the dangerous cottage ;D) 2. Black Eyed Pead - My Humbs (No further comment wished, the girl from these Black Eyed Peas is just so hot and it's simply a p,easure for me to see her whip her ass ;D ;D) 3. Kid Rock - Forever (Cool performance, even though Kid Rock himself is somewhat ridiculous, I don't know how he nailed Pam oô) 4. Korpiklaani - Beer Beer (I like videos mixed from live performanced in general, this is really well-made) 5. Amon Amarth - Pursuit of Vikings Live @wacken 2004 (just kicks ass)

1. Tool - Aenema - Great song, strange video with the alien and the old guy. This song has a special place with me and so does the video. 2. Wintersun - Beyond the Dark Sun - It's out new, and I think it can be found at the Wintersun site. Anyways, Heavy song, great guitaring and powerful vocals. Yes it is the band performing the song (plain boring) but: It is a good song, the frost adds the "Winter" to Wintersun, and the periods where Jari is in the moon singing, that is quite interesting. How cool would it be to go outside and see your favorite band performing on the moon? 3. Korpiklaani - Hunting Song - Of course it is a great song but the video has a certain something, with the folk dancing, the band with their "woodsman" clothes. 4. Tool - Parabola - It's a great song, kind of weird video, especially the part where the guy splits the little clayman in half and the organs are visible and perfectly created, and the ending with the "Alex Grey" "Lateralus" guy glowing. Very soothed at the end. (Your brain on Tool) 5.Finntroll - Trollhammeren - It is not my favorite song but the band looks like how I would imagine them. Trollish indeed.

Hmmm, just 5? ? It's hard to choose only five, usually it depends on your mood, the music you hear most at the moment and so on but I'll try.... 1.AEROSMITH: Amazing. Just because is an amazing video. The videoclips that Aerosmith made for the Get A Grip album were the best of their career. I like the story in this one, and moreover Amazing is my favourite Aerosmith song after Dream On and Toys In The Attic. On the video Joe Perry's solo is repeated, which is so grrrreat! love this guitar solo, one of my favourites solos of all times. 2.PANTERA Planet Caravan I love the story on the video too, that seed that goes from one world to another and creates life and then the process is repeated again... is beautiful. And though now it may seems a bit crappy, the graphic desings on it were great for 1996 3.CRADLE OF FILTH No Time To Cry (Sisters of Mercy Cover) It's just that I always like the same on video clips, the story on them, the two sisters that think they're alive but in fact are dead 'cos their father killed them and how tragically one of them realizes. And the cover is soooo great!!!! 4.TYPE O NEGATIVE Love You To Death The atmosphere on the video is so doomy! And so typical from the band too, full of green and black colours; the wood, Pete Steel and the song, which is beautiful 5.AC/DC You Shook Me All Night Long It is such a funny video!!!! It's too much mysoginic, but hey, nobody seemed to complain about it! The scene in which Angus goes after a chick and he's picked up by his mother is great Many more videos are worthy to appear on this list too, COF's "Her Ghost In The Fog", TON's "Everything Dies", Jethro Tull's Too Old To Rock & Roll", Crematory's "Tears Of TIme", Maiden's "Wasting Love", "From Here To Eternity" "Aces High" (I love the Battle Of Britain images on it), PAntera's "Cemetery Gates", Metallica's "Hero Of The Day", "Megadeth's "A Tout Le Monde" "99 Ways To Die", Sepultura's "Rattamahatta".... so many!!!!!
