here is a photo of me and a little friend of mine. the little feathery thing is named Blodeuwedd, she is a tawny owl that was taken in by me after she had been injured.when she first came to me she had just had a badly broken wing mended and metal rods inserted into it,one wing was half the size of the other, with no feathers on its lower part.I was told by an 'expert' that she would never fly again, and that she would never be able to go back into the wild.gradually feathers started growing back ,she started to fly,one day in late summer she decided to fly away and not come back....or so I thought...she now lives totally wild and independant from me,but every few nights she comes and sits in the tree in my garden and calls until someone goes outside to see her!

taran: so great, those animals are so beautiful (any animal is, but prey birds and especially owls are amazing). You seem to live nearby the origin of our pony Tosca, she is a Welsh mountain mare, almost 14 years old now. Besides that we have a black 8 year old gelding, a Groningen horse, a heavy warmblood bread. I bought him when I was looking for a horse for myself, looked for an older, well mannered and well tought mare or gelding. Instead I fell immediately for a 2 year old stallion, who really didn't know anything. Still love this horse. With Tosca happened almost the same before, we were looking for a pony for my (then 7 years old) daughter. She was the first horse/pony I ever bought, from a man who said it was a real children's pony, well ridden and good-mannered. Well, the pony was extremely dangerous at first and obviously never saw a saddle or a hoove scraper before. She attacked us and ran behind me with flat ears and showing all her teeth, she may be not higher than 1.20 m, but still, a pony of about 250 or 300 kg chasing you, isn't very nice. Not easy not to show fear. She kicked and bit severely. The pony was far too dangerous and my daughter fell off several times. I could not ride this pony because I am too big, so I used freestyle techniques for over half a year every day at least an hour with her, and the miracle happened, Tosca (pony) became a very obidient pony. Here are some photos of "The Wizard's Grave." They were taken in a cemetary in Wollongong (one hour south of Sydney). I lived in Wollongong five years ago, and I loved to wander around the cemetary. This grave was always a mystery to me. Why was it a double grave for a single burial? Why are there flame holders at the corners? Who made the tiles (they are hand made, they have words pressed into them) and the grave? What does 'Interim - To be reversed' mean? What does 'His words are his might' mean? Why has the grave been designed so that the lids can be removed? Why is there no mention of the man, Charles Henry Hodgson, in the obituary notices of the newspapers at that time (I went to the library and spent a few hours searching the archives one day)? The grave fascinated me, and because I could not find out anything about it, I call it "The Wizard's Grave." I like to think that somewhere, the descendants of his original acolytes are waiting for the day when they will gather at his grave, perform the necessary rituals and resurrect The Wizard.

As I see all these pictures, I have to conclude that my environment is quite boring... On day, I'll post some pics of my environment. But first spring, that makes it a lot better, less gray. In this area, we have some corn fields, some cultivated forest and very much farmland. If I go some further I'll be in Broek in Waterland, which is a very nice village to see Some pictures: (Not by me)

My ChurchesEven I don't consider myself as a religious person, I've always loved the churches. Here's two near of my own house, in the centre of Helsinki. I've visited them both many times and they're quite special to me. The Doom ChurchThe Uspensky Cathedral
