just saw Bloody Sunday on DVD... great shots... i like that kind of camera usage... and the non-preachy storytelling. (Cruachan on replay) bastards!!!!!!!! pogue mahone!!!!!!!!! I found that movie extremely impressive. Specially the self-conscious english trooper who remained silent after all.... bastard! Póg Mo Thone indeed!

ah, so that's the correct writing thanx just saw House of Flying Daggers in the movie theatre... didn't grab me quite as much as Hero, but it's not that bad... coreography, camera, effects get 10/10, plot gets 8/10 and the weird romance behind it 7/10... so it's 8/10 in all... if you liked Hero and/or Croachng Tiger-Hidden Dragon you'll like this one too

Well, yesterday I dedicated 12 hours of my day to "The Return of the King" special edition dvd, from 2 pm to 2 am.
I watched the movie (with the extra scenes) and then the documentaries and extras... and I must say: I think I enjoyed the extras more than I did the films. They are extremely well done and terribly captivating, sucking you into the whole 7 year production saga of the movie.
One can't help but to feel "damn I wish I had been part of this". Extremely well done documentaries, a great movie in itself in my opinion.

We have the extended editions of all three those movies, and the extra's are great! But we also liked the extra scenes very much, the add some humor and background to the movie.

yeah, like PJ getting shot and Gimli singing that silly dwarven (love?) song: "We who go swimming with small hairy women!" ;D Korpiklaani should make a song outta this one ;D liked the Mouth of Sauron too... though it was more comical than horrifying... okay, maybe disgusting was the point - well achieved that one

About the major extra scenes:
Voice of Saruman - I was sort of disappointed with this one (thought I loved C. Lee's work throughout the trilogy) there was something in the book about this scene that didn't come through to the screen... not mentioning the fact that he's actually killed here. So I ended up agreeing with not putting it in the cinema version of it.
Corsaries: dispensable, but fun to see some of the key members of the crew and Weta playing those sea dogs.
Mouth of Sauron: I think that looked extremely good... can't realise why it was left out, specially since it's not that long.
Most of the other scenes were surely dispensable for the cinema version, but it was great to see them at home, helps to give the movie more depth.

i saw it last december. i dont know if you think its good. to me, is much better than the 2nd, but no good as the 1st. it ha alot of action.
the girls are not very hot: jessica biel and other 2 also not very hot.
the guy that starred in the movie '"van" something' throws really cool jokes during the movie. at least, they are really funny to me, since im a simple minded person. :]

I'd like to watch Loach's "Just a Kiss" and the last onein which appears Audrey Tautou, something like "Long Saturday of Grooning (or something like that, Helran please, could you tell me the original French name?)... but I supposse I won't, 'cos I'd love to take certain girl to the cinema to watch it instead of my three days bearded mates... and I have more opportunities with them unfortunately

Have you seen "Tierra y libertad"? I don't know if it had the tittle in English; it was about a spanish union during the previous months that led to Spanish Civil War... it also covered the first months...if I remember well. It's been one of the most moving films I've ever seen. I watched it when 17 years old when all my revolutionary-fight feelling were at skin, and I almost cried when the nephew (I think) of the old Brigadist starts singing with some other Brigadist while putting him into the grave one of the tunes that the Republicans sang during SPanish Civil War... surely the most thrilling moment I've had while watching a film.

Haven't seen it yet, but it must be better than seing your home team losing... Anyway, saw Close the other day with Jude Law, Julia Roberts, Clive Owen and Natalie Portman. Very nice, intimate and intense movie... really liked it. Extremely simple and effective... can really get to you if you're in a serious relationship.
