I'll have to test to do pelmens some time! I'm truly waiting for our Slavonic evening with our women and the closest friends. Miituu!! I'm preparing now for the Slavonic evening!! For all to know: I made pelmens yesterday. Success!! I'll think the next summer I'll do pelmens more often, and maybe blins too! ;D

The blins are much easier to be done than pelmens. Do you know that pagan Russian holiday - Maslennitsa. It is still celebrated by almost every family. And we celebrate it by making blins! Uhmmm, tasty! especially with jam, red caviar and sour cream!

I could also found a use for that too..

Blins are very easy to do. Even I baked it about 2 years ago, but I a little bit forgotten the receipe. All I remember is that you have to make batter, then put it on the frying pan. When one side is ready you turn a blin till it's ready too. And then you eat it! It's much more tasty with caviar, sour cream or honey. Enjoy! If you need full receipe I'll speak to my mom who returns on Sunday

There's a tradition in Spain that has always called my atention, but I enjoy it a lot. I don't know why, but on thursday you will always find paella in every restaurant that prepares daily menu. Well, every restaurant except the one in which I ate las thursday, they "forgot" the paella. I don't know where this tradition comes from, but since my favourite meal is paella I enjoy this tradition taking place. In case there's no paella you usually have a thing called "fideuá" which is the same as a paella but with pasta instead of rice... I preffer paella anyway.
I hope I'll have today a paella!

I have a Brasilian friend and she gave me the receipe years ago. Very good on hot days.
Caipirinha
for about 3/4 litre
3 limes, peeled, sliced and crushed (in a non-metal mortar) one big bowl of crushed ice (frozen water) 1 big glass of wodka (2 dl or more) castor sugar, to taste
mix all these ingredients and taste till it tastes good. If you have tasted enough, it becomes tastier with every sip!! ;D ;D
You could decorate the glasses with slices of one extra lime.
Kippis!

Well, if you use Wodka it's not caipirinha... it's Caipiroska.
Caipirinha is done with Cachaça, a Brasillian hard liquor. Emphasis on "hard".
I actually prefer caipirinha to caipiroska, but many people here in portugal go for the wodka version.
