Now, that's a great study! do you realise how cool this sounds compared to our occupations that doom us to remain among sinister walls? ;D And to go in the wilderness only from time to time? Man,a full job as that type of guide is so great! \m/

Very awesome Metsanmies! I've wanted to get into the same here in america, but I have no idea where to go for schooling in order to do that. Bad thing is though that due to many parts of america and their climate, doing anything Forestry related can be both a blessing and a curse. FOr instance in the summer when it is really really hot, and you have to walk around with full clothing and a protective net over your face due to all the millions of nasty bugs... But better than sitting in some cubicle without any view of nature I suppose. Good luck!

You mean you will be the guy who will guide foreign people through the forests? "Don't step in elk's crap", hehe... That's a good profession! Are you going to live in a forest then? What about hunting? That's fukkin' awesome!

Here's a funny coincidence: I just read this thread from the start (yes I'm very bored), and I saw that one of my friends (used to be one of my best friends like 6 years ago, now just a friend) used to post here! Weird! Well if I'm writing a massage already... I'm currently a third year chemistry student at the Hebrew University... Realizing more and more each day how I REALLY don't want to do this for the rest of my life... The problem is I have no idea what I DO want to do, so... That kinda sucks =\ I guess I'll get my degree at the end of the year (no point quitting now, after all that time and money already spent) and then maybe go live for a while in a squat in Germany or something like that And a question to Jonne (if he ever reads this): How are your studies going? Are you still doing that?

Looks like I haven't replied yet? I study av-media and soon multi-whatever-future-media at polytechnics degree. The first year was the basic studies about graphics, typography, filming, audio equipment, publishing etc etc., but starting from August we'll be mainly filming and running that av stuff for Meduusa TV, an online "television" with live broadcast on every thursday at 14:00. Now, 5 years later I've finished my school and work as an editor on a major tv channel, nine-to-fiving my fingers to the bone Currently I make promos for upcoming tv shows and some small sponsorship commercials, but I've also made quite a bunch of other tv commercials, corporate videos and some stuff for documentaries and tv shows. I really like my job, I can be creative and get paid for watching cartoons ;D The only downside is that my current room doesn't have a window, so I basically made it through december and january without seeing any daylight and I suppose the dull environment is giving me quite some stress.
