I also work on the library of the medicine faculty of my University, and that's makes me a womanizer which means, a guy whose nerves have more electric power than the power station of Maiden's A Real Live One cover each time I see one of those beauty future female doctors walking in front of me or asking me to borrow a book. Librarian eeehhh....Ook! Ook! ;D just as atrractive as Terry Pratchett's librarian?

I am currently studying Applied Economic Sciences in the University of Hasselt. I'm not sure it's 100% my thing but for now I'm doing quite good. I'm also a semi-professional webdesigner on the side, to earn that extra bit of cash.

I study English and History for teaching at high schools (Gymnasium for those familiar with the German education system). I've just finished my final thesis about women in viking society and I have a load full of exams in fall. Next spring I'll start student teaching and finally get paid ... yay!

I'm too working on telemarketing business!! And I have a same thing: I can select when I go to work and when not. That's a good thing. Nowadays I study in Helsinki University, in Finno-Ugric Department. My main subject is Estonian language and culture, secondary subject is general Finno-Ugric linguistics. My studies from this spring are over now. I just finished my last exam yesterday. I'm also a tutor for the new freshmen coming in the university to our department. We had our final tutor education day today. I'll be glad to acquant our new students to the feasts and joys of the glad student life! ;D I'm also a member of one committee, which is called Sukukansavaliokunta (Committee of Finno-Ugric Languages) and our corporation Siula (A corporation of Finnish language and Finno-Ugric languages). I'm a present sub-editor of our student magazine Siulaset, from which I've written many articles, columns and reviews. I also work in the post office. I assort the leaving post. I've done that job two months now. In summer it's my every day summerjob, which starts in June. I work there as long as the studies continue in the university. So I've been quite busy in this year. We'll see what happens in the next year.

At the moment I've almost got my 4th year in the Helsinki university finished, only a couple of essays left and after that I can relax a couple of days before my summer job begins again; this academic year has gone very fast and as I've felt greater motivation than ever before in general, I've thus also got much of important courses finished again as well; along this spring I've got total of 180 studying points done, which means that as I've only got my Pro Grady These finished in the autumn, I'll be a candidate in fenno-ugristics, and which means that I've got only 2 more years left before I'm university degree of mag. phil. in my subject (total of 300 studying points including appropriate final graduation works required). Almost done already, although I could then seek for a job within my own occupation at the university as a linguist and a researcher, which would make it possible for me to be promoted as a docent and even further in the future. But maybe I'll get those mag. phil. papers first, heh.

Hm okay, if this thread doesn't only refer to the members of the band now, I could tell about me as well. I'm studying Finnish language (Fennistik) as a main subject and Scandinavistics (Skandinavistik) and linguistics (allgemeine Sprachwissenschaften) as minor subjects at the university in Cologne. I've done that for about 2 1/2 years now (apart from linguistics, because I started with phonetics and changed then). Finnish is going pretty well and I'm also very sure that I can finish those studies because I'm just motivated to do them. Also it's the only subject where I already did my "Zwischenprüfung", the exam you do after you have finished half of the whole studies. Scandinavistics would be okay to me as well, though I just can't cope with all that literature (if it comes to literature I can be pretty uncooperative ;D). Linguistics just never worked for me, I can't say it doesn't interest me but after I had passed the first exam and went on to the next I failed in all that due to various reasons. This year I tried it again but as I had a pretty busy beginning of the term ("busy" not necessarily at university) I decided to stop them again. No idea to what all that will lead but you might say that I'm a bit obsessed with those Finnish studies and the next step for me now is to study at least two terms in Oulu. Maybe I will get a new idea there *g*

I'm sure I'll visit Helsinki during that time (already as there are usually many gigs). But before I'll visit Helsinki twice again in June, once with university as an excursion and the second time two weeks later, the time before and after I go to Nummirock. I'll let you know you before when exactly that is, would be cool to meet you!
