The next to last thing was to go to a library booksale and buy a bag of books. You'd think I'd have enough books in my apartment by now, but I don't. I found some good books on history and some of the other goofiness I read and also picked up some paperbacks that looked like they had been read a few dozen times for a trip I just came back from. For me, mindless things are good to have on airplanes. The last thing was fabric to make curtains. It's a crochet tie dye pattern to go over the plain white blackout curtains I have in my apartment. www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat3689&PRODID=prd40414

In the 2 for £20, so perfect time to buy them Somewhere Back In Time: The Best Of 1980-1989- Iron Maiden (CD). Already got all the songs, but I'm a collector. American Dad: Vol.3 DVD. Love this show, and have been waiting on this one since I bought the last one

I bought me a coffee and sandwich this morning. They are being digested as we speak. On non perishables now, I got me Bathory - Blood Fire Death on CD cause all my Bathory is on vinyl and I wanted to rip it on the mp3 player. Nothing like battling the bus crowd with an epic playlist! Next in line is a Behringer microphone but I don't want to eat the shipping costs On the department of free items now, a friend of mine was giving away his woodwind musical instruments, so I ended up with a tinwhistle in D, a 7 hole fife and a tenor recorder that neeeds some remedy before it can play its low C again. Good haul!

Zero Nine: White Lines> Found this marvellous album at Tarjoustalo (a local super market chain with affordable/cheaper prices) for a silly price of 6,99 EUR and definately one of my most succeeded purchases for some while. To those who possibly don't know, Zero Nine is one of the first Finnish heavy/hard rock bands ever, formed in 1978, still active and having gigs even nowadays. White Lines was released in 1985 and it became one of the most noticeable releases from this pioneer band. I found a video in Youtube of the title song played live; the sound quality isn't even near the version on the album, but hopefully it gives even some picture of what this all is about: > www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuYOBTRpdKAPS. There's something in me that desires back to the 80's probably as long as I live, heh.

I have discovered this band when I was 16-17 years old maybe, by a man in bar (rock city café) where I always went.

From the cruise I mentioned in other thread: Captain Morgan rum (dark) Pere Kermann's Absinthe A selection of beers I've never tasted before. One of them was Barbãr but I'm too lazy to walk to the fridge and check the other ones' names right now ;D Then I also bought a lovely Gada Gada hoodie with a long pointy hood, that was actually the main thing I was looking for at Stockholm. Those brand "cyber" cloths cost a fortune in Finland so I didn't want to buy one in here (not that they would be too cheap anywhere). Actually I bought two hoodies because I wasn't sure if I'd find just the one I was looking for, but luckily my girlfriend wants to have the other one. Can't afford to keep them both Today I also ordered a german military bag because I didn't find one in Sweden. My old bag (finnish army gas mask bag) is too small and it opens all the time if there's too much stuff in it. It's also giving me neck pains as it's not made to carry anything heavier than, well, a gas mask. How come german military products are so good, I've had their boots for years now and they're the best and longest lasting shoes I've ever had, even I bought them already used. With the bag I ordered also an old model of US army extreme cold weather mask, just because it looks so damn wicked: www.varusteleka.fi/netta/imgl/us-ecwfmod.jpg

"Korven Kuningas" on vinyl. I found it for $15. It will be a nice addition to my collection.

Visited Helsinki today and got miself:
The Pogues - Pogue Mahone - No wonder that this was their last album. There's no single catch, the melodies are like recycled a thousand times and the ballads just suck. I actually checked my player if it was on loop because you couldn't tell which song was which. A total let down from one of my favourite bands.
Sixteen Horsepower - Folk-lore - Just listening this for the first time. Way more peaceful than their other albums, there isn't a single "yee-haw!" redneck song. Gives me chills, so this can't be bad but it definetly needs time to open completely. I bet this works best when you sit alone on a hill in cold wind and rain. As always, the pro-christian lyrics combined with David Eugene Edward's voice are the best part. If Deliverance was directed by Ingmar Bergman it would have the same feeling ;D
Then I also bought dye for my hair. You just can't get the right brand and tint in my town :\

We finally got new cellphones, as the old ones were dying a slow graceless death. I also got The Body In The Library by Agatha Christie and couple magazines. Spouse got himself a "Support beer pong" magnetic ribbon for the car (beer pong is a drinking game that involves aiming ping pong balls in glasses of beer) and a shirt that reads "Watch Midget Porn - It'll Make You Look Huge".
I also bought an mp3 track- The Devil Went Down To Georgia.
