For starters-- This one...
"The song is a lament and lullaby sung by the wife of the chief of the Clan MacGregor of Glenstrae who was executed at Taymouth Castle, Perthshire, on 7th April 1570."

For me the greatest metal love song is very close to home It is Under the sun by Korpiklaani It may be an uncommon love song, but for me it gives the essence of love and trust... with a little plea also in it. Couldn't agree with you more humppaporo, it's also my number 1 love song because if someone really knows you (and can put 1+1 together) they would understand what you are trying to say with this song. Altough I see it not as such as a plea; Mayby a little then but more of a longing towards that person Also I like this song very much Rowwen Héze: Ien minuut (one minute)

That's just beautiful and the background images for the vid, just...on my taste. The emotional load is heavy due to the story in itself too... For me it's hard to pick only a few or just one song, as there are so many, some of them not being love songs in themselves (by theme/lyrics) but just songs connected to certain events of personal nature. Yet, will try to exemplify with 4 just:
