Wow! A very nice birthday present! Hunka Lunka (ordered it from Arctic Gem) It is amazing, it is really great! Love it very much! I tried to find out if Maaren Aikio is still performing somewhere, but couldn't find it. I found an interview with Jonne in which he tell that he and she played every evening in a restaurant called Hullu Poro ('Crazy Reindeer'). Must have been something, never had such good music in any restaurant. Must really have been a treat to the visitors. It's very folkish, extremely well played, beautiful songs, most of those written by Jonne himself, a few others arranged by him (among that one of my very favourite Mari Boine songs: Gula Gula). I recognize the base for some of the melodies of the Shaman and Korpiklaani albums. It is really great, very very happy to have this!

Maybe we had a little bit too many gigs at that time period then. At the year 1996-97 we had more gigs than the years is the days so it was pretty ruogh. We actually played one gig about two years ago but we decided to not play anymore. The magic was gone. She lives in Norway with my oldest son Jommi at these days.

Shamaani duo: Hunka lunka was the VERY FIRST record for me, which showed the way what kind of music I wanted to do. It has so important meaning for me. For me it's one of the most best records ever done. It brings to my mind happy memories, and the feeling how close to nature music can be. I'll always remember Hunka lunka.

He comes when he get out out the school for summer. Goes back when our tour start at August. He will be on the stage with us in Pellavarock as percussionist. I hope he sells some cd`s again to the Presidents.

That must be great for both him and you! To have him with you for some time! Nice that he follows in your footsteps (I mean in music, not especially percussion)! What I understood from you, making music is some kind of family tradition in your family (and of course your son's mother is very musical too, I hear her singing right now!)

Woohoo!! My mailbox contained a parcel from Finland. In it: two Korpiklaani T-shirts and the cd's from the package (I didn't have Shamaniac original ) and a very nice card! Both T-shirts go excellent with my car ;D I will post a picture soon! Special thanks to the 'monster of the mountains'
