Humppa, no I'm not and I don't think we met, but I certainly can remember a lot of people from that picture . I was a bit more on the left, just beneath the fence.

Really a nice story from hanu. I think those kinds of experiences are always the best ones, travelling to some god-forsaken place you have probably never heard of, meet some weird people and see a gig. Was thinking about going to Evijärvi, too, but then it all became too much with my Germany trip (came back the evening before) and some personal issues. Should however us the next chance again.

Moi Hanu, Excellent tale of our weird but joyful trip in Evijärvi gig. Cheers to Korpiklaani and thank you for absolute pure fun in Evijärvi. See you again in some little village somewhere in Finland. Thank you dudes, that you came and thanks also about the good gigtrip story. Let's drink somewhere soon again.

Great review perakyla!
It's great to read something so in depth that reminded me clearly of the concerts I saw in Imatra (Finland) and Tallinn (Estonia). It may be strange that I actually preferred the Imatra show, but the intimacy of a small gig and the way the available energy is intensified really works for me. So for my money, see Korpiklaani on Finnish soil if you can!

I haven't been at the Imatra gig but I fully agree, the small gigs are much better than the ones at festivals or in Central Europe where there are shitloads of people. I usually had a much better time at the gigs in Finland.

I think this post is good here... Today I went to my first Korpiklaani gig, some people told that the sound wasn´t good , I don´t know, I was there having fun, because I was so happy!!, and I was in the first row ;D!! It was a bit short, only 40 minutes, the most happiest 40 minutes in a long long time in my life. It was good cosidering that there was a lot of bands too, it was an unforgetable day for me, thank you so much!! You will see the pics soon

Well, I think this link will fit here. During Folk'n'Troll festival (22.10.2007) the Hungarian National Tv Company(m1) made recordings and it was on screen (FINALLY) last Saturday (26.07.2008). Here you can watch the whole programme, Korpiklaani starts at 23 min. Just a few songs are there from the awesome show on A38 ship, but I still liked it.

Thanks for posting the link to that video. Just noticed that Jonne also remembers the lyrics of Midsummer Night meanwhile ;D
