Steven Fletcher took a cool and big Korpiklaani tattoo. I think we want to know more about it. We will get more pictures soon... After the first session. Unfinished tattoo."This is my 8th tattoo, all of my tattoos have somthing to do with history, mainly viking history and i have one tattoo of Vlad Tepes but this Korpiklaani tattoo is most meaningful tattoo of my collection, reason is is because i am fromGermany, I grew up around hills upon hills of grass and trees until my dad went to the military and we ended up in Texas in the United States. This tattoo is most meaningful because Korpiklaani, along with very few other bands, take me back home, the music reminds me of the hills, grass and trees i grew up around..it means that even though i live in a dessert now, i have music such as Korpiklaani to depend upon to take me back home and feel free again. "Steven's thoughts right after the tattoo was finished: "I got my tattoo completed today and it was without a doubt the MOST painful experience i have ever had.its bloody today so i will clean it up tonight and send u a picture tomarrow "--------------------------------------------- As we know, tattoos are everlasting, so as far Steven has his big Korpiklaani tattoo, he has also a free entry to every Korpiklaani gig. The name Steven is now tattooed to Korpiklaani guestlist all over the world.

Wow, you guys start to have as enthusiastic fans as Manowar or Maiden does, and that if what is cool. Steven gets my full respect, and it would be nice to hear his own comments on this thread as well. I'm going to have the shaman symbol included in a bigger motif when I just get enough money to get a large enough tattoo (about half sleeve). Until then, I just have to be jealous on other people's tattoos

I quite Jelous of his tattoo. I'm planning on getting the shaman logo done but inside a circle of viking tribal much similar to the one on the inlay of voice of the wilderness. But I am not getting it done yet because I want to finish my basic training in the RAF first and let it be a congratulatory gift to myself after I have passed it.

Duuuude! I understand that's a painful experience, taking a tattoo on your flank has to be very distressing. I'm not considering any bandtattoo's at all, mainly because my interest in certain bands switches from time to time. But chapeau to Steven, hopefully I will be able to see that tatt in real life once.

Wow, that must've been painful for Steven. But definitely worth it! I also have a Korpiklaani related tattoo, but to me it's a symbol of a few other things as well. I've had it for some 8 months now without any problems. Korpiklaani or not, I love it It is my first tattoo and I am definitely going to get some more tattoos in the future. A swan or wolf's paws would be nice. A friend of mine has a similar one, too.

Wow steven That must have hurt. It's really cool though I have one tattoo I took ten years ago and I have been planning to get another one since then (the guy who made it, said "see you next time" - he knew it's addictive, too bad he's in TX). I would like to get the Rammstein logo or the shaman symbol (like Katharina - I also like it on the wrist)

Personally I'd never consider a bandname or any name as a tattoo for the simple reason that interests change, and that bands change etc. But wow... really a great tattoo ^^ looks very cool.

Currently only 17, here in the USA you need to be 18 to get a tattoo. I plan on getting alot done when I have the money. The Shaman symbol ranks up there with what im getting first

Haha yes Steve is my hero, I saw his work on myspace last month and was amazed too, the ribs HURT... that is dedication... I have a bunch of tattoos already (the permanence doesn't bother me one bit ) and I got a korpi shaman tattoo last summer. Here is a picture of it: In case it's hard to tell, it's on my lower right calf, right above the ankle. I LOVE this tattoo. I used to feel the same way about band tattoos (that I'd never get one) but 'Klaani changed my mind... although that is also because I fell in love with this little shaman dude, and the tattoo means more to me personally than 'just a band.' One reason is that Korpiklaani not only is among my favorite bands and always will be (that is the least of it!) but that they completely altered my perception of music! They are not the first folk metal band I heard (Finntroll and Cruachan were the first - they led me to Korpiklaani) but when I first heard 'Klaani there was almost an audible click in my brain... I really feel like doors were opened in my mind, to new and amazing forms of musical expression - I was enlightened! Another reason is... if I can describe it... each tattoo I get symbolizes meaningful things that happened in my life around that time. The same summer I got this tattoo, was also my first visit to Finland (I really have a special place in my heart for Finland now even though I am not from there!) and also around that time I had a very amazing spiritual experience via a shaman from Greenland (yes I delve into these things a lot). So there is a lot going on with this tattoo for me.. I've also had a ball showing this tattoo to people who have no idea about what it is or who Korpiklaani is.... they can see that it's a little fellow holding 2 objects, and the guesses as to what the objects are can be quite amusing... my favorite guess so far, from one of my friends, was "pizza and bong?"... ;D
