Native: German Good skills: English, Swedish Very little: Norwegian Would like to learn: Finnish I once tried to learn a bit Finnish by myself, but badly failed! At the moment my husband is learning Swedish and I´m joining him as a little backup. When these lessons are over my plan is to take up with Finnish again.

Sorry to post in a thread that doesn't link to what I have to say but noticed it had a lot of views so thought this was the best place to post. I've recently set up a group on facebook under the name of 'Korpiklaani - UK Fans'. It is a group created to persuade and to urge promoters to hire Korpiklaani and respond to Korpiklaani's queries about tour dates. About a week ago now I wrote a message to Korpiklaani's facebook page about this topic and got a reply from Jonne himself (The lead singer of Korpiklaani for those who didn't know) stating that they had been shown no interest and that if someone was to set up a 'Korpiklaani UK Street Team' it would be a big help. I took that on the hip and responded telling him that I would do my best to help. I've messaged many festival websites and wrote in many forums to branch out and make people aware and it has had some success. I hope this will too. There is a link to the group below so if you are living in the UK and would like to see Korpiklaani tour here again just request to join and you will be accepted shortly after. One last thing, those who are interested if you wouldn't mind letting your friends know, especially on facebook in your friends list, and linking the group to them letting them know It'd be very much appreciated. Thanks a lot, Jason. Remember it is a 100% genuine group designed to actually influence the return of Korpiklaani not just a group to get as many likes as possible. www.facebook.com/#!/groups/441839032527835/

Nice thread . My native languages are Italian and the most common version of the Modenese language (there are four of them), which is called "modenese di città" in Italian and "mudnês ed zitê" in Modenese; if you are wondering what the heck is this language I will provide you this general link: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emilian_languages . I can read English pretty well, but I am not able to speak or to write it correctly!! I can also read some French (French and Modenese share the same grammatical structures). This because I basically suck when it comes to foreign languages!! I am greatly interested in Finnish and Swedish, two astonishing languages; plus I have studied some Japanese at the university but only for fun!

Native: Turkish Second almost-native: Azerbaijani it's really similiar to Turkish because they both are Turkic. Foreign: English, almost well. Gonna or wanna learn: French and German because they are international languages and I will become a translator, Kazakh, Uzbek and Kyrgyz, because they are other Turkic languages and I love them, Finnish because I love the land and the sweet, melodic language and I want to read Kalevala from original text

Native: English Not quite fluent (and no reason for me not to be yet!): German What I would love to learn: Russian, Finnish, Icelandic, Swedish, Old English, Latin, Middle High German, and every regional German dialect. German has always been my first love when it comes to languages. It's the language that got me interested in language, and its the language that introduced me to some of my most treasured Historical persons of all time! Languages are perhaps my greatest love, yet it is a shame that I can never seem to concentrate long enough to learn a language very efficiently... I've started and stopped learning a few languages, with German being the only one I've made any decent progress in. I still hope one day I can break this spell of lacking motivation and become the true polyglot I've always wished to be!
