@kuuraparta: Thank you very much!! The odd thing is that none of the words you mention (like räpsyä) is in my dictionary, while I have the Su-En Suursanakirja of WSOY.
Heh, I'm not surprised; the more you read Finnish literal works, the more you'll come across words and vocabulary that can not be found in common and/or general dictionaries. That's just the way Finnish language works; new words can be developed and via that variation and richness to the language can be found through leading from words and expressional concepts already existing. Of course, for us native Finns these kind of words and expressions come out by nature, and even if we'd see many of these leadings for the first time somewhere, we've still got the root- and basic words in our heads, as also the syntaxes and methods for leading further from those, thus it's also easy for us to understand the meanings of them directly and without any greater problems (point being: without any need to learn every single word and expression separately etc.).
These lead words (which are not more widely in common use and thus not being established to the every day colloquial speech) are very often left away from the dictionaries, as those would increase the amount of included vocabulary chaotically much and thus it'd be just impossible to have any complete or finished dictionaries existing for real. Instead, the dictionaries do have the general root- and basic forms and words included, ie. those words and expressions, that are on the basis for further leads. All in all, the syntaxes and methodes for lead expressions in Finnish are one of the most notable and most characteristic features in our language as a whole; new words can be lead very freely and without major boundaries, and especially when the dialectal variation and features are added to the top of everything, it'd be impossible to get hold of the content in the end if everything imaginable would be collected, defined and included in a single dictionary. The boundaries in making a dictonary to help in the most common situations have to be drawn somewhere; the more deep and more thorough handling and processing of the lingual material and possibilities do all mostly belong to different kind of literature concerning namely linguistic research in an academic in-depth level.
EDIT: To those who'd be interested, a one quite good on-line dictionary for En to Fi to En is at www.tracetech.net/ , though I personally always trust on real books and literature instead.
EDIT_2: As an example for these leads can be found in the cluster of words we already had there:
räp-
(the most simple root morpheme defining the cluster, not working independently and/or without any leads, can't be found as unlead component in dictionaries either); here are some of the leads and lead expressions in random order according to what just came to my mind, not much use of any dictionaries for this list now:
