Hahhh,hmmmm,youtube,yes...I found some videos with titles from new Kk album...before it's out official... interesting...the pirates never rest... Yes, I saw it too. I've even seen the new Klaani album on soulseek, and other p2p programs. But, I won't download it.

I don't download much, but I might download Korven Kuningas if it isn't here on time. I have bought two copies, one of them is the €60 special edition, so I'm not being unreasonable am I?
Downloading has been to find out about new bands for me. For example, I downloaded 1 Clutch song, and went out and bought the whole back catalogue, went to see them, and bought a t-shirt at the gig. That one song I downloaded has generated money for the band.
Of course not everybody is like me!

- - if it isn't here on time. Patience is a virtue. Yes but I've been patient as it is ;D It wouldn't be a problem normally, but we won't get any mail on Monday because it's a public holiday! And my main point was I'm not being selfish and downloading it because it's free, I have ordered those 2 copies

A couple of days/weeks/months to a direction or another; time goes quickly afterall. One can always wait just a bit more to finally enjoy the real and original fruits instead, as they taste a lot better however.

Don't you people have libraries? We have one quite good here and you can find most of the albums there. I usually get some CD's from there, listen through them and then decide, if I should buy some. Also a good way to discover new bands.

Oh well, I see. Anyway, I think it's a great system, if you have the chance to get CD's from there.

As the starter of this thread I have been faced with a difficult situation, As a lover of Power metal (oustide my folk fettish) I have been given a CD containing what is alleged the best 150 Power metal songs ever.....150 different bands. My options are; Listen to it and buy albums of those I like Stand by my principles and throw it away I have always dicovered music by what I call "the roughy" going to record store and picking up something that looks good/different... To this day "Battlelore" has been my only bad "Roughy" The goods are; Turisas, Blind Guardian, Finntroll, Korpiklaani, Spellblast, Stratovarious and Hammerfall. What do I do?

Normally I don't search specially for a certain band. Sometimes I check if there is something to download which has a promising name or something, I download it to see how it sounds. Then there are three posibilities: 1. I don't like the music, and I delete it 2. I like they music, but not enough to spend my scarce money on. But probably, when I have some money left I will buy some cd's 3. Bands I like very much (Týr, Korpiklaani, Lumsk, Amon Amarth, and some others), I will buy the cd's But I think that when I'm not a student anymore, and I'll have money to spend, I'll buy more cd's... But for now, only the most important cd's. I'll be candid: for me is exactly the same.

aussieklaani: Listen to the cd, its not like someone will die if you do that, and if you plan to buy the cds of the bands you like, there's also no monetary harm.

I have lots of respect for musicians, and I always try to buy the actual albums. A big stack of metal albums looks much more impressive than an iPod! If the only way to get the music is to download it, I always do it legally. TV shows, however, I pirate CONSTANTLY.

TV shows, however, I pirate CONSTANTLY. I watch South Park online, but only because they are so far behind on DVD releases in the UK, I have series 1-6 on DVD and they are up to 10 in the US!
