What do you guys think of the possible new American offer: all those EU countres can get exemption from Visa which helped the USA with at least 300 soldiers in Iraq and in Afghanisthan? And on the next day Tony Blair goes to Iraq...

The thing is, these old blokes are accustomed to the standards 50 years ago. Politics is changing, just like the weather (or recently: climate ;D ) Here in Germany it's extreme sometimes. Lastly my grandma began to sing the old German National Anthem when we watched football. This anthem is forbidden, but she simply doesn't know the new one.

I am really angry because the government is closing down 3 Major Hospitals in my area a lady just had to go 60 miles for her twins to be delivered and she almost conceived in the ambulance because how far away she was. The reason why they are doing this is because they are doing tax cuts, because they government waste their money on no brainer schemes, thus resulting in hospital cuts. There is no need for this- what would be next? Schools?

Schools? that has been happening here for quite some time now.... its nothing new. the tax cuts are for the rich and corporations only. budget cuts include public schools and universities, police and fire departments, hospitals, public transit...all the important stuff. not to mention the union worker strikes, which is why we still have a nursing shortage. 3 years ago they closed the elementary school down the street that i went to and countless others. in sf the school district is practically bankrupt and might be shut down all together. my conclusion: politicians cannot run a government effectively, they can only be poster boys.

First hospitals are closed, than the money for education is cut so schools are closed, than they move on to introduce reductions in social services... no comment.

This is the prob of the new capitalism wave. The politicians of this old school are so deep in the mud that they cannot solve problems, but they chain alliances for their own best. Sometimes I think the idea that the best of a country rules it is not right any more. Just money and the one who holds it are the true rulers of the system, just distracted a little bit of all the idealist, like they are here togehter, f.e.
I´d like to rage if I think too long about it.....

It really does annoy me. Now people are gong to lose jobs and travel further in an emergancy! does the governemnt not think about this? It is so pointless. there will be a protest soon, I am definatly getting my ass there. Next it would be schools and then probably dentists and such. They have so many money problems where they just waste their money. Another problem is that John Prescotte, was in charge of the government while tony blair went on holiday and he had alot of jobs to do to try and benifit the country and he was playing croquett amongst other things and he is being sacked tomorow.

I think the only problem are the companys and the holders of money. If it is not so much worth, they wont destroy nature and people for it. That what counts must be more worthful in future. And money not. The governments must be more radical and cut the money and the companys, and not corrupt.
