My passion is fishing, and my ultimate goal is to catch and release a big mackinaw (lake) trout. If you have ever seen pictures of the fish, they are very beautiful and scary looking.. in person and swimming near shore in the fall, they are even more beautiful.

It would take a lot of willpower to release such an imposing fish. Respect! At least you can pose with it for a picture before letting it go And I'm reminded of Schubert's wonderful but sad song, "Die Forelle".

What I desire most for my life ist to be a good mother for my son. And of course to all the children I may have in the future. Giving them all the love, respect and support they need to find their own way in the world. Leading them in the right direction and teaching them that they can be everything they would like to if they really want. I want them to know that it is even better to fail then never try.
As for me I wish to be a good soul, or at least I want to try. Being here for my familiy and friends, showing them how much I care about them and that they can always count on me even when they go through hard times. And there are some dreams I want to fulfill, like traveling to some special locations, a windjammer cruise in the caribbean, perhaps taking part in some little music project. When I'm looking back at the end of my life I would like to say that I did my best to live my life the way I wanted. And that I've made the life of some people I met a little more happy.

Seana, this is the most beautiful thing I've read lately. And what makes it beautiful is that this is no fiction, but words coming from someone who leads a life with this desire and goal.

Thank you for your words, Tiina. Children make you recognize what is really important in life. Sometimes I catch myself thinking about something I would like to have someday, beeing annoyed about the fact that it is rather unlikely that I ever get it. But then my son looks at me with his big brown eyes and says:"Mama, I love you", and I realize that I got all I need. Thank God he does that nearly every day Although we think that we have to teach our children I sometimes think they are here to teach us.

Well, congratulation on having such moments with your boy. And I agree, in children's words lie wisdom, only adults tend to complicate things.
