Keep On Galloping! I dunno it just sticks out for me the most. The melody's are really cool and since I know what the song is about it makes a little more sense to me. And just the way the "galloping" guitar riff's blend with everything its cool.

The title track: Korven kuningas The opening of this song brings somehow the old Shaman-days in my mind. And yes: I like how the song ends: 15 minutes shaman drumming. It suites well, because the whole album starts with fast and warlike Tapporauta and ends in the silent and peaceful shaman drumming. In Sepultura's Roots there was same kind of structure: Fast and brutal Roots Bloody Roots in the beginning and in the end of the album there was something about 20 minutes silent voices of the jungle. It works!

I choose Gods On Fire; I think the music is so introspective that though being a somehow sad melody it makes me feel alright. It's one of these songs that while listening takes you far away, your eyes lost in the horizont, looking nowhere, drifting in a sea of emotions. And lyrics are so beautiful, show repent but on the other hand certain proudness in coherence with what you do. I value coherence in doings, and I myself try to act as much coherent with my thoughts as possible; that's why I like so much the end of the song "what is done is done, is done"... it's like no use for repentance, must accept your doings and follow on... it's a truthful and more than accurate advise.

Great album, much better then Tervaskanto, every song is good but I just don't like end of album with boring drumming, always the same, 15 minutes, it would be much better if instead of monotone drumming, there were solo joik, with Jonne clean joik vocals and guest female vocals from Varttinna.
I vote for first song Tapporauta because it strikes well for first song, from the beginning there are strike of good riffs and good fast Jonne vocals.. but also I prefer Metsamies, beautifull song with emotional feeling, I imagine people singing together with beer in hand, also interesting Northern Fall, solid Keep on Galloping, also I like drumming on second part of instrumental Shall we take a thurn, ballad Gods of Fire is little sad and it could sound little boring so I sometimes skip it, and also first class songs are Suden Joiku and Runamoine. About last song Korven Kuningas I prefer just part from 1:29 to 4:17
So my top favourites would be Tapporauta, Metsamies, Kipakka, Suden Joiku and Runamoine..

Last week it was Keep on Galloping, this week it's Northern Fall. Ask me again next week Now for the whys: KoG: Because it invokes a very strong visual of a man on his horse looking forward to return home after a long time of exploration. NF: Because everytime I listen to it I think of myself strapped with a Big Ass Medieval Drum drumming it to oblivion. And cause it has a solid chorus melody.

I really like Ali Jäisten Vetten. Melody with very well sounding lyrics in chorus - it's just great!

Fascinating that I'm still the only one that voted for Kipumylly, wouldn't have thought. Actually the moment I heard it I found it quite an outstanding song on the album, liked the melody and the atmosphere it created, and still it is my favourite song from that release.
