Liholesie (amazing haunting dark ambient folk solo project from Siberia) Ye Entrancemperium (I know I've already listed another Emperor song, but this one deserves it too)

Yes, Liholesie is one of the best folk ambient projects I've heard - but their last album, "Boundless Thirst For the Outside", is more industrial/neofolk oriented.

Neun Welten Losfer Words (Big 'Orra) - Iron fuckin' Maiden of course
(The sound of music from Liholesie's latest offering conjures up in my mind Zona-like scenes, akin to Tarkovsky's Stalker film, delapidated technological waste overgrown by bleak landscapes of vegetation intermixed with clammy fog.)

Nachtgeschrei Arson (Amon Amarth) You're right - this album is about the Way and the Ritual on the debris of the degradated environment. And the "Stalker" - maybe the most "doom-metal" movie in the world. We here have even a band, which lyrics is based on this film - it's called "Agnost Dei": www.agnostdei.ru/index.php

Iron Maiden Noctambulant (Immortal) This album is about many things... Way and Ritual being among them. I take it you're also familiar with Belorussian Pragnavit? Btw, a nice recent interview with Liholesie here if you haven't seen: assault-crew.net/cave/interviews/liholesie_/Can't say I catch the doom metal association with "Stalker" - meaning that it's long, drawn out, and subsconsciously entrancing? But that can be said of other Tarkovsky films, more notably "Solaris" with even longer scenes of spaciousness, and "Mirror" for being even more surreal and searing. For "Stalker" in music, Wolfsblood recently did a song entitled appropriately enough "Stalkers". The decline of the West, reflected in barren wastelands of cultural refuse, is too vital a theme for the ritual-music-inclined to disregard.

Nitberg Torching Koroviev (Khanate)
Yessss, Pragnavit's "Svietacjam" CD is lying right before me - and I'm proud that I caught one of the very last copies from Possession prods... Yes, I saw this interview, of course - I try to seek the Assault-crew webpage regularly: they publish great releases, and their 'zine is one of the best Russian zines I've read. Wolfsblood - I don't know about what song you mind exactly. He has many songs about this huge problem of the modern culture - most of them are on the second half of "Twilight Of The World" album. It's really bad that I have no money and can't find his CDs in the Russian distros - but soon I'll have my own distro, with blackjack and hookers ;D

Graveland Valhall Awaits Me (Amon Amarth)
The song by Wolfsblood that I had in mind is called "Stalkers" and was released on its own. It was on the official myspace about a year ago, I don't know if he took it down yet. I really like the inside photo from Pragnavit's booklet of the solitary figure consumed by primeval wilderness around and within, holding the huge horn to his lips.

Dornenreich Ex Cathedra (Wolves in the throne Room)
Aaah... no, I haven't heard it - it is no more on the official myspace. About the picture - I'm sure that it's Voist himself. I also heard that there'll be a 4 CD box of another Voist's project, Udumbal... it must have been released months ago, but I still keep waiting
