Some of you may know this band from Imatra, Finland - Auringon Hauta. They made black/death/thrash related heathen metal music under the name of Solgrav for very long time, but then they opted to change their name to Finnish one. Solgrav is Norwegian and means "sungrave". Auringon hauta is same in Finnish. Along with the change of the name, their sound changed also a lot: they started to increase ethnic instruments and soundscapes in their music in order to move away from the stuff made under the title Solgrav. Now they're making their first album under the name of Auringon Hauta. I'm also involved in that album: I play kantele and do some throat-singing. I've also written some lyrics to their new album also. Now they've made their first video from their song "Köyry-yö, juhlayö" (Köyry Night, Holy Night). The song is about the Finnish feast called kekri/köyri/köyry, the Finnish version of Halloween. The video was shot last winter and since it's also my debut as an actor in official music video, I'd like to share it with you, here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Q6OlhSmaAAFeel free to comment! The official website of Auringon Hauta is www.auringonhauta.tkEDIT: And by the way, Auringon Hauta's drummer Lari Hammarberg is also Poropetra's drummer!

Thanks for posting Juha, and congratulations on your acting debut!
It's a great "bouncy" sound and I really liked the visual bouncing in the clip that matched the music.

I just love that video: it has a totally different approach to the whole world of music videos. Really simple, yet cathing story. It doesn't quite go hand in hand with the music, but it creates a great contrast and that's why it works ;D

Awesome sound. Like Nordis said, it didn't match the video, but I guess that's part of the humour. And you're cuuuute ^_^ -pinch pinch-

Even though I don't understand what the singing was about, the video was very good and I liked the music. The food looked pretty good, too!

This thread is from the time of my one-year absence from the forum. By chance I discovered this group and when I saw the name of Juha Jyrkäs in their videos, searched in the forum and found this thread. So, what I want to say is - Auringon Hauta have new album "Muinaisia muisteloita, noita syntyjä syviä" - veeeery good and worth-listening. See what is written about them and the new video of "Veden loihtu" - "Spell of Water". I strongly recommend the stuff to the whole clan of Korpiklaani. Enjoy! ;D www.davidicke.com/forum/showthread.php?t=141895auringonhauta.tk/

Yeah, I can remember this band. When I was 17 I've bought a big pack of illegally copied underground CDs for a crate of beer, and one of them was Solgrav's album. Great musick.
