Actually I meant, which are the versions of the most popular names (mainly in the Christian world) like John and Peter in different languages. But I don't mind to write also which are the most popular names in your country, like Helran did.
PS: Thank you to the mod, that moved the thread in General intellectual discussion. I was hesitating where to make the thread and at the end decided in Everything you want to share.

The most babys have very strange names like Cheyenne, Merlin and so on. I work in a primary school with 3 - 6 year old kids and the most of them have modern names.

And now in Greek: The first name is the actual one and the second in the everyday "modernized" one.. The language has gone through some crazy changes during the last century and that reflects on the names. John - Ioannis/Yiannis; female equivalent - Ioanna/Yianna George - Georgios/Giorgosi; female equivalent - Georgia Peter - Petros; female equivalent - Petroula (Petra in greek means "stone" so it's not used as a name) Thomas - Thomas with the accent on "a" Jordan - Iordanis; female equivalent is not used Michael - Michail/Michalis; female equivalent - Mihaela Martin - Martinos; female equivalent - Martina Jan - there's no Greek equivalent Alexander - Alexandros; female equivalent - Alexandra Anthony - Antonios/Antonis; female equivalent - Antonia Nick - Nikolaos/Nikos; female equivalent; Nikoleta/Niki From Jesus Christ - Christos; female equivalent - Christina
