I've seen them this weekend on the 23th of May on Hungarian Metalfest Open Air 2010. It was awesome! Not a long concert, but it's not a problem! There were lots of people, Jonne cheered us up and said that we are great REALLY much *.* It was a great feeling^^ A lot of people were pogoing, dancing, circle dancing, 20+ people held each others throught the shoulders at Pellonpekko etc... It was amazing as a Korpiklaani show should be. They played about 9-10 songs. I think if they had played more, I would have died, I couldn't breathe normally xDD And I bodysurfed aswell during Viima I think^^ *.*

It was really great!!! Happy shining band and so much happy little boozers! Setlist was very good for so little time, I think that Korpiklaani will return in Bulgaria for full concert next year I made big Korpiklaani photo with Bulgarian flag with date and place 24.07.2010 Kavarna, Bulgaria on it for signing and when Sodom were on stage I saw Cane and Jarkko near to sound tower and took a picture with them. Thank you so much! Here is one of my photos: photo-forum.net/en/index.php?APP_ACTION=GALLERY_IMAGE&IMAGE_ID=1343229&USER_ID=17378

Kavarna, Bulgaria, 2010. My first visit to Bulgaria, my first Korpiklaani gig (first Kreator etc too, but this is all about Korpiklaani ) Kavarna was great, well organised, nice beer and great food, great atmosphere. But my beloved klaani only had 45 minutes??!!!!! WTF??? Everyone at the gig clearly wanted more, there were so many people wearing Korpiklaani gear, and after the gig when WalkyrieTiina and Battlemage conspired to lure the shy Finns out of their dressing container and to meet the crowd, well, it didn't matter who was playing on stage, any time a Korpiklaani member came to the fence, the crowd went to them. Thank you to the band for coming. I had to fly for 35 hours around the world and drive for another 7 across the worst roads known to man (everything about Bulgaria is superb - except the roads) but it was all worth it and I will do it again any time you guys come back to Kavarna. I also met plenty of cool Bulgarian metalheads, so thank you to you guys (you know who you are if you're reading this ). And a big thank you to Jonne for showing us his arse. Yes, he really did. And now, some pics! Jonne coming to the fence for the first time to meet the fans: Battlemage (son of Wolferin) discussing philosophy, the arts and the finer points of horn-throwing with Jarkko: WalkyrieTiina and Battlemage klowning after meeting the klaani:

And a big thank you to Jonne for showing us his arse. Yes, he really did. [/quote I supposse he had to thank you for shouting Jack Sparrow instead of Hittavainen and Galadriel instead of Cane! ;D There are lots of great stories about that gig, which we will post after we all get some rest and put order in our memories. I personally wish to thank the band for everything!!! unique! and also hail the bulgarian klaanish horde! they rocked!

Here is one from me. There came the great day for our international klaanish group to see the exact thing we had passed so much road for – the gig of Korpiklaani. This late afternoon everybody were ready on time (the first and the third day of the festival we missed the first groups), with KK accessories and off we go to the stadium. It was still quite hot at 6 pm, a bright sun, but this didn’t stop the klaanish horde to gather in front of the stage and impatiently to wait for the band. And “Vodka” gave the beginning of Korpiklaani show. I got the impression, the group didn’t expect to have so much fans (or may be I’m wrong), Jonne and company looked very serious, but after the first song smiles appear on their faces and the thing came on their places. The fans sang, shout, jumped, waved hands with “horns”. Battlemage was on the first row, of course, me, Tina and Kuusuru were a little more rear, but I think the scene was seen better from our position. I sang almost all the songs in English and the refrains in Finnish. The gig passed like one minute, we all want more, 45 minutes were too insufficient. All the “drinking” songs were sung, but I wanted to hear more Finnish ones, but the time was very limited. After the gig, we four go to the fence and wanted to see the band. There came other fans also. We saw Jonne round the dressing containers and we began to wave. And what Jonne did? – Showed his arse!!! I appreciated the trousers (I’d always fancied the clothes of the group), but for the arse I said: “If a had a paintball gun…” Then our group made a “conference” how to give a sign, we are from the forum. Tina wrote a note, Battlemage put on his face the most charming smile and attracted a woman behind the fence, who, such a luck, were from the organizers. Thanks for her, giving the note to Jonne and thanks for Jonne, that he came to meet us. We began to shake hands, to try to talk, though it was noisy, to make pictures. There came other people and do the same, some of them even hugged Jonne. Jonne is a hero - survived all kind of fans’ love, though I’m sure he had an experience, but one little boy was near to strangle him from hugs on the fence. Me and Battlemage used the opportunity and told Jonne: “Come in Sofia for a full time concert!!!” After that I left the stadium for this day, but “my people’ told me, all from the band came to the stadium among the fans and many pictures were made and autograph given. Finally I can say again: “THANK YOU, KORPIKLAANI, FOR THE GOOD TIME, FOR THE PLEASANT EMOTIONS, FOR EVERYTHING.” Now, you know, you have many fans in Bulgaria, we are waiting for another concerts! Korpiklaani - that's it! Jonne in danger! He is saved! Cane and Jarkko with fans.

Been a week already since Viru Folk in Käsmu but still want to say that it's a brilliant festival with a great atmosphere. Nice location in a quaint village by the sea, plus there were lots of things you could do there besides seeing bands, basically anything from juggling to hiking. Before I came there considered leaving after a day or two, but in the end I was still there on Monday, although the last evening wasn't that much fun anymore when a thunderstorm came up (which cut all electricity and thus also caused that the last bands couldn't play anymore). What I was also very fond of were the swings near the main stage. Great for elder people like me who cannot stand for a whole concert anymore (well, almost... ), secondly, who knows when there is the next chance to see a Korpiklaani gig while being on a swing. Noticed afterwards that it was a pretty long set also, and am glad people still got up from sitting on the grass and moved to the front of the stage. Korpiklaani might have been about the heaviest band on that festival but still don't think they were any out of place there

The swing factor made me say...''damn!!!!!!!! I never have that luck!!!"' ah, well, when all of us shall be old and Korpiklaani will play in asylums for people of their own age ;D we will sit on sofas, and would forgot all about swings, but still we'll beat the tempo with our sticks... and pat each other's hand in rhythms of Pellonpekko. ;D PS: I should have started a new thread with this post... ''gigs and giggles 2050. Opinions and recipes,''

Just got my ticket for Korpiklaani & Eluveitie tour 13.10 in Sofia Second gig in Bulgaria for few months - this time not only 45 minutes! Hei dude... where were you at Kavarna? We were at the right of the stage, in front of where Cane stood most of the time, and about two rows back from the moshpit. Some of the best three days of my life, that fest. Great bands, great friends, great people, great food, it's what life should be. And if only I could get more holidays from work, I'd so be there in Sofia... damn.

I was left of stage, in front Jarkko, hand away from the fence. You can see from picture I've posted few comment ago: Btw I took about 500 pictures in Kavarna, some of them really good(my opinion ). If somebody wants more from Korpiklaani or some of the other bands - send me a PM.

Indeed, much profi pix than ours, not that we took so many being busy dancing now while still young. ;D Thank you for the offer, we will contact you at one point! Oh, and as I was just looking at some of the photos we took, here is a silly one. Well, I found hilarious that the cabins were in the colours of the Finnish flag, and 2 Finns were to be seen between them. Buit I will not post the pic as I am tech dumb, but I have great support.
