After two rather meagre years with regard to Korpiklaani gigs I decided to finally see them again somewhere where I hadn't seen them yet. This meant Denmark and Belgium this time, in Copenhagen and in a sports hall in the quaint village of Bomal. Some things had changed since the last few times I saw them, there were new faces, new songs (some of which worked better than others), and as usual every "era" feels different again... while yet during Wooden Pints I always become 22 again in my thoughts About audiences I learnt at least that if people jump around continously on one leg with a drinking horn in their hand you're in Denmark. Now looking forward to see where I can catch the next gig, since it'll be the 50th

Bang Your Head festival was this weekend, and korpiklaani made sure it was a party They played 1,5 hours but during the last song I had the feeling (as always) they hadn't been playing for that long As the saying goes time flies when you're having fun. While waiting I met a guy who drove for 3 hours just to see Finntroll and Korpiklaani The hall itself got really hot, temperatures that weekend were around 35 degrees and for some reasons they decided to close the side doors which were used to vent the heat during the day. So unfortunately in my case that excluded beer consumption and had to do with drinking Apfelschörle and couple bottles of water. Here are a couple of photos from the korpiklaani gig
