I agree Branigan! I have also seen it so many times, but l never refuse to see it one more time. Bakk to Kirki now: no, it's not the same. When l said The Tudors i had in mind the dinasty, not the series. I'm talking about separate productions of Henry Vlll and Elisabeth l; seen it on Hallmark last year or so,and they were also broadcasted on History Channel.

Oh I see. Well, I do recommend watching BBC's "The Tudors". It is VERY good. I have it in Blu-ray : )
Does anyone here like Band of Brothers or Rome? (and could these be classed as films and therefore be discussed here?)

Watched Uuno Epsanjassa and Ernest Goes To Camp yesterday. Ultimate hangover cures and torments The first one is a classic finnish movie from a long serie of Uuno comedies and the second is a "classic" first movie of the Ernest line, series of comedy movies aimed mainly for pre-teen boys I think. I think english doesn't have words that could describe the Uuno movies, so I'll let them speak for themselves: www.youtube.com/watch?v=89fDCdNqB80;D

Just finished watching two last episodes of the "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" series on the hulu.com website. I've always been a fan of Terminator films (first two only), and this series was really very good. Great character development, great plot. Too bad Fox cancelled it and it will not get a third season...

A friend of mine had a house warming party last saturday so we watched a true classic from the 70's: Pink Flamingos. That scene is from the mildest end but I advice you not to open the link if you're at work or disgusted easily. Such a lovely movie! ;D On sunday we went went for a bit milder movie and watched yet another classic known as The Last Unicorn. The theme song by America rules big time and I really loved the animation style and the general idea of the movie, but just like 95% of movies intended for children it was ruined by the singing scenes. WHY THEY HAVE TO PUT THEM IN EVERY GODDAMN MOVIE?!?! Even the kids hate them, the songs aren't catchy so no-one remembers them and they rarely take the story to any direction. They might be there just to make the movies longer but if they wrote actual script instead of the songs the movies would still be long enough! ARGH!

Slumdog MillionaireI had some prejudices that the film would be be too melodramatic, but it was interesting and dynamic, though having melodrama in it.

Yesterday evening I saw Fast and Furious IV, has someone seen it? English trailer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6Xjh9DMit4It contains many similar aspect of the first film of the series, and after half film it becomes predictable.. Always the same things, at the end!! But if you want see a superficial film, I advise you last one

Just watched again: "Brave Little Toaster"
A very curious feature length cartoon... It's marketed and intended towards little kids, yet I've heard of cases where some children were traumatized/disturbed by watching it. This curiosity was what made me watch it to begin with... pretty dark and borderline morbid in some places, lots of courage and guts in other places (ah the old self-reliance values of the 80s before political correctness/victim cult took over...) It's always interesting to see kids movies that have darker/heavier themes that go farther beyond their young audience. I actually ended up liking this one enough to get a DVD.

For the third time in the last years l watched LA MARCHE DE L'EMPEREUR, thar art documentary with lmperial penguins...the point is that l needed to remember the life lessons those beautiful birds give to us: solidarity, caring (for partners and children), fighting against rough conditions in order to achieve goals... Tis so well made and l also enjoy the lines..and the nontranslated version as l love French! Not to mention the spectacular landscapes...

I've never seen March of the Penguins before but keep hearing good things about it, will have to give it a try. As for me, I've just re-watched "Delta Force" with Chuck Norris and Lee Marvin in it. One of my great not-guilty pleasures are old action movies from the 80s and early 90s - back when people did their own stunts and explosions were real and blood and violence looked realistic and there were no computer-generated special effects to make it look artificial... just good old-school action. Even when I was a little kid I remember liking those kinds of movies.
