Indeed. At first you're tempted to enjoy that great music a lot,but then when you actually listen the lyrics..things changed. Glad you liked it. Tis a bit off topic, but tis completing the idea of that movie, so ..

Friday evening I watched a french comedy called RUMBA. The characters, Fiona and Dom are 2 teachers very much in love with that dance. They get in troubles all the time ( i kinda dislike giving detail as some of you already know by now ), but Love prevails.. Tis a ,,to be watched" film.

I watched a movie called Andrei Rublev a few days ago. It's an older film, from 1966, and is more or less a story based on Andrei Rublev's life. I had a hard time following it due to the fact that it's long and I watched it late at night.

I just got done watching one of Peter Jackson's first films: "Dead Alive" and must say, it is perhaps the most genius, bloody, and wonderful film I've ever seen in the horror genre. I've always loved comedic, campy-type horror films. But this one is just wow. Not for the faint of heart, but still, to me an absolutely wonderful, and hilarious movie. Great outro to a wonderful weekend, hahaha. As crazy as that may sound.

Excellent gore and plenty of laughs!

I had time for a film last evening, and twasn't hard to pick a BBC adaptation after ,Hard Times' (Charles Dickens). Twas an older production, but more to that I enjoyed watching it. I don't go on with details as I know most people read Dickens, so extra infos are painful when one already has them Tis just that I wanted to hail again another exquisite BBC film...

Out of Africa...a not so old,but old enough movie with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford. I've seen it years ago,but at that time I didn't know much 'bout Karen Blixen. And being intrigued by Karen Blixen (or Isak Dinesen if you prefer the nickname under she wrote her books), I decided to watch the film as I don't have any book of hers.. And twas pleasant. The story itself is a lesson, not to mention the acting...

I downloaded it because it is impossible to find those movies in the state, but alas I couldn't get the subtitle file to work. I will have to try again because I'm very interested in this movie. Not to mention that the song "Elle" that Mari Boine used for the movie is one of the most moving songs in the world to me. I went to watch the premiere the Beowulf and Grendel movie my dear friend made for her school project. Sadly her computer got a horrible virus that destroyed all of her files, including the extended edition of her movie which took her 6 extra hours of editing and mixing the audio/cutting out the sound of the rain on the rainy days of filming. Thankfully we still got to watch her rough cut version of the movie, and although it was amazing I feel bad that we didn't all get to witness her final version of the movie thanks to a stupid computer virus. After that we kept the TV on while talking, and two movies from our childhoods were playing so we watched them. Hocus Pocus and The Goonies. It was so crazy seeing them again after so many years, it was quite enjoyable because now I can catch the small pieces of more adult humor that they put in those movies to make them more accessible to adults with kids.

Does anybody know Vickie the Viking? I love the older animation and we watched one episode of it today. Still I haven´t watched the movie in our cinema but I will watch it soon I think. When I was younger I loved Halvar I imagined that every Viking looks like him and since I know Vickie I´m interested in Vikings and Nordic history. Great. www.serienoldies.de/images/wickie_halvar.jpg
