I've read the reviews. Don't agree though. I think a certain, very superficial likeness with ensiferum exists, but only with their first (imo very good album) ensiferum. Besides that, Falchion is totally different. Honestly I like Falchion better than Ensiferum.
Comparing bands is very hard to do, many people say Korpiklaani resembles bands like In extremo. I don't hear any resemblance, only the use of genuine instruments?!

Falchion is great! Knew it for a longer time but I forgot the band...I'm sorry but I like to compare Falchion with Wintersun, is that legal?

I downloaded the samples, but when I was listening them back, I wondered which band it was... Maybe it is a useful advice to change the file names into [band name - track name] or use Id3 tags for the band name...

Very nice interview I really like Falchion`s music, Legacy of heathens os a great album, I quite like the fact that there is no folk instruments used on it, As much as I like the sounds these instruments create, I think it`s becoming a bit over used by some bands

Socke: nice interview! I also think this is a great album! I think every genre has it's own powers, don't feel the need to compare. Hope Falchion wil make more albums despite the exodus of heathens to the army

I get the Falchion-CD from my brother as a Jul-Gift. I have to say it`s very good music and I enjoy the sound whenever I listened to the Cd! I don't think that it sounds like Ensiferum. And I don't think that Korpiklaani sounds anyway like In Extremo... I know In Extremo very good, because the singer is from my hometown.
