That doesn't need an explaining, I think. We like some kinds of music and we don't like another. Give your oppinion!
About me, I don't like so much latin music, and I extremely hate techno. I hate too all those bands or singers who only shows her faces and bodies surrounding by an enormous marketing infraestructure, people who never wrote a word nor a note, but had at their feet the best session musicians and all the facilities to become a star, making money machines after all.

Man, TECHNO isn't a music. Other types of quasi-music I hate are transe, industrial and electro. I don't like pop- but not all singers are bad. Of pop I like Tracy Chapman and Whitney Houston. In all I don't like electronic music expect of few singers. I'm a fan of pure rock.

"I hate vegetables. Like, have you ever eat a raw potato?! Man that stuff sucks. I eat only meat because all vegetables suck a lot!" The only types of music I mostly can't stand are these products where company pics up a cute guy or maybe few and sell shitloads of stickers, lollipops, diaries, pens, nail polish and what ever with their name to the defenceless kids who must get those because they want to be cool. The other kind of music I don't prefer listening is either too slow or too fast hip hop. Slow one is usually so "lazy" and down and whiny so that it makes me annoyed, and the fast one is usually about tits and asses. Atleast the songs I've heard. Oh, and christian music I can't stand either. Now, before you go to sleep: if trance, pop, hip hop or what ever isn't music, why METAL is? The vocalists can't sing, musicians just beat their instruments with full force as fast as they can and guys look like girls Oh, and the lyrics are about sex and drugs. ...next on the program: I go to provoke some rednecks on the local gas station --> Oh, and Daddy Yankee is really terrible indeed. I heard La Gasolina from him some time ago, it really wasn't enjoyable.

How could I forgot that? Reaggeton, of course... Here in Spain is very popular now, I don't know why... Maybe the worst kind of ..."music" ever played... its lyrics are full of poetry: "Me gusta la gasoliiiiina, dame mas gasoliiiiiiiiina"... ;D

Aw, c'mon people be nice! Just because you don't like a particular type of music, doesn't mean it isn't music, or it's "quasi-music" or whatever. Some electronic music is quite stunning and soul-twisting; just as in metal, there are many very different types of sound (what if someone has only heard Motley Crue or whatever, and then said that all metal sucks cause it's so cheesy? ) I can't see what's so musical about rap, but some people really love it and for them it's music, so, to each his/her own. Personally, I can't stand R&B, it makes me cringe. I've been subjected to it against my will in various places of employment, and it put me in a very foul mood!! I also dislike country (the American type)... except as something to make fun of, perhaps... ;D

Why subject yourself to music you don't like? I never listen to the radio, always play my own music at home or in the car (and sometimes at work!). I couldn't tell you what is in the charts at the moment, because I just don't hear it. And that's the way I like it - keeps my blood pressure down!

Techno, Hardcore (not the kind of metal...), Jumpstyle etc Rap and hiphop isn't my thing either, but I can stand it for a few minutes ;d normal pop I really don;t like, but I can survive if I hear it And I agree with Mary, that's exactly the reason I never listen to the radio... Apart from sometimes at archery... when some people want the radio switched on... Then I either turn up my mp3 player, or I start listening to the music an traffic information :s

I couldn't tell you what is in the charts at the moment, because I just don't hear it. And that's the way I like it - keeps my blood pressure down! That's exactly what I do and why I do it. Sometimes people are talking about things that are in the charts and as I don't listen to radio I never have any idea what they are talking about and they are like "What?! XY is so popular right now, they are on position yz, it cannot be possible you haven't heard them!" But for me it firstly is just a waste of time to listen to radio and secondly to avoid these things is kind of a "protection" for me. It only would annoy me when I heard what shit is successful here in Germany...

I don't like all the commerce-shit from the radio, but what i hate most is HipHop & Rap... Specially here in Germany are Wannabe-Gangsta Bands like AGGRO Berlin (I think only the Germans in here know what i mean) very successfull, and thats what i dont understand... they show us in every song or video that their brains must be very undersized...
>> What do THE GERMANS in here say about AGGRO, Bushido, etc?? <<

oh my god they really suck. i hate this whole gangsta-rap-very-dangerous-coming-from-the-poorest-gheddo-in-the-biggest-city thing it's a worse copy from the american rappers who do this ugly shit. i hear lots of different styles of music (yes also reggae, blues, jazz, soul) but the styles, which twist my nerves are these styles like retro-rock, nu metal, metalcore... genres, which are very popular for 1 or 2 years and immediately every second band which is found is one of these and then..... a couple of years..... nothing is left

I can't say I hate or like some kind(type) of music. For example even though I'm not a huge fan of hiphop, I know good songs that are cathegorized as hiphop. I think it's about is it good or bad music in its own cathegory. Good music for me is something personal and well made and not too over-produced. Bad music I think is something that sounds like it comes from some non-personal production line without any heart in it and that I can say I don't like. So I can't say I don't like hiphop but I can say I don't like some hiphop songs. Usually every artist in every cathegory of music has at least one good song so I can't even say any particular artist or band that I don't like.

Hmm; some of the music styles and directions I namely hate are all kind of classical music, mostly all pop-music, jazz, reggae, country, every kind of christian and/or otherwise religious music, all kinds of political-oriented music, tango, polka, and yes, even humppa in general. I don't listen to the radio at all if there shall not be any particular program I want to hear. What it comes to traditional folk music, I dislike most of the whole European-based folk music nowadays, only the eastern regions of namely European trad. music still fascinates, Baltic and Slavic to be precise, as I've generally been into much more ethnic musical traditions and cultures for a long time already. When the question is about metal music, I truly hate all kinds of power metal, all orchestral metal, mostly all of the fantasy-themed metal music and all the gothic crap. Also viking metal and all kinds of new-age/neo-"pagan" -stuffs are something I surely dislike from the bottom of my heart. Notta perkele.
