I can't stand techno and similar electronic music, whit dumdumdumdumtuctuctuc, and with lyrics about nothing... Sometimes rap is OK, but I don't know.. these guys who can write good lyrics, why don't they write poems then...

I really hate reggaeton, a stupid "music", because that's not music, it's an aberration, the lyrics, mostly sexist or meaningless. I think it comes from Central America... and the worst, people listen to that in their moviles inside a bus

Being a subjectivist for the most part, I generally TRY to understand why people like certain things based on their own lives, but also being a subjectivist, I've got my right to dislike the shit they listen to. I can't stand rap, techno, or reggae either. I also can't stand modern country music (I'm not sure how often it is heard throughout the world, but in america, namely for some stupid reason in my city, it is huge). I don't need to hear about how big your tractor is and about how your baby drinks whiskey out of their sippy-cup or other such crap. I don't mind older country, or traditional songs of american history, but this new crap just bugs the heck out of me. I think the thing I hate the most though is show-tunes and musicals.... I loathe them with a passion. I was tortured as a kid listening to these songs in the form of movies: annie, sound of music (of which only the scenery has any value), grease, and that awful rocky horror picture show... The music is too upbeat, non-topical, and my mind can't get around the illogic of a bunch of random strangers magically singing an improv song on the spot together whilst taking part in elaborate choreographed dancing.... It makes me mad anytime I hear it... Even more so because so many people love it and get hooked on it... and I can't understand why? All bad feelings arise from show-tunes.

It is a local Balkan phenomenon (bur as i read you, it seems not only Balkan!?!) - called "pop-folk" and here we call it "chalga". It has roots in the Oriental and Gypsy folklore, with stupid and even vulgar lyrics. The singers - if they are women, are silicon dolls with an appearance of a cheap prostitute and the men look like little local mafia bosses with tasteless jewelry. Most of the singers have no gift to sing and all combination is very nasty.

I suppose country could be considered some sort of "pop-folk" although in america country originates off of the farming culture of america. But the women are generally silicon dolls and the men are pimped out versions of "country" men, with big cowboy hats with rhinestones and other such things. Not exactly sure how similar it is, but it seems to be in the very least a cultural equivalent.

Every country has its own style of musical crap, which is quite popular although. Our version of "reggaeton" is the so-called "russian chanson" - stupid half-acoustic songs about the thug life and all the jail things. This is the most popular style here, as the "thug romantics" is very popular here. And of course, the bus drivers listen to it, and every small cafeteria which has a karaoke machine always has a queue of the drunk 40-year old proletarians.

Wow... half-acoustic songs about thug life... I mean rap and crap is bad here, but at least it hasn't been OVERLY popular for these bands here to add in acoustic... I hope it doesn't get that far. Although maybe it has, I rarely here any new songs or new music from these bands, as I don't get out much and don't go to places that play it. Trying to keep my ears free from bleeding. haha

Oh...damn, we have here the type of music Wolferin mentioned and it has another name that I won't even mention. It's the worst kitsch in the world...and the only type of music that can piss me off at maximum..though some friends played tricks on me and made listen just to enjoy my funny angry faces and I ended up laughing too..but that's about it. And I am old enough to have a limit of standing crap! ;D Bartbär: the worst country song I've ever heard was bout a gale named Lucille who left her husband who sang sth like ,,you've picked the right time to leave me Lucilleee...raising the children and crops on the fields.." damn wicked woman!she should've left him after croping and kids got old! ;D

Shouldve left him after croping... Lol thats amazing :DD Mostly what we have here is motherfuuckin pop, about sunshine, happiness, girls, boys, boobs, asses, singing loud, about the BIG NOTHING And of course with no music in it... The slovak pop scene is a bit better although I don't listen to the radio so I don't know these pop songs well. I think the most annoying is the USA-hip-hop-rap with the 2 metres high nigga and his girl dancing, singing about sex, alcohol, sex, sex, drugs, sex, fuuuckiiiing, sex, sex, and not only the songs, the videoclips are about the same, too :S Phewww

I can't stand techno and similar electronic music, whit dumdumdumdumtuctuctuc, and with lyrics about nothing... . You should probably check something outside that radio-playlist dance as well I'm not trying to convert anyone here, I'm just saying that not all electronic music is like Scooter, just like all the metal isn't like Turbo Lover. I think I've either grown old or just stopped caring, but nowadays I just can't name any kind of music I couldn't stand. There are certain songs that really get on my nerves, but in the last week I've been listening anything from rockers reggae to electro pop, 70's proge, finnish hip-hop and goa trance. Couldn't have imagined that two or three years ago ;D

Bartbär: the worst country song I've ever heard was bout a gale named Lucille who left her husband who sang sth like ,,you've picked the right time to leave me Lucilleee...raising the children and crops on the fields.." Thank you so much for putting that song in my head ;D... it was my parent's favourite for about a year, they played it every chance they had, and now it's going around and around inside my brainbox . "You picked a fine time to leave me Lu-ciiiiiiile...." So yes, I hate country music, it's just too simple, I know it well, used to play it on guitar when I was a kid, but that all changed the day I heard Smoke On The Water for the first time. I'm not talking about folk, or blues; there's skill in Appalachian and bluegrass - but cowboy-style country and western is music for morons.

kuusuru: you're welcome, anytime! ;D nightwica: hmm, maybe we should give you a list within the electronic music area...there are great bands there too, maybe you should start with those closer to the rock area..or not! The thing is that there's much more than the crap you hear on the radio..and in which you may find fun . At least we did so, but that was in Neolithic ;D Oh, and forgive me my dears I didn' t confess from the first post: I dislike AC/DC and Modern Talking. They just insult my hearing, hahaha damn, now I pay my sins: Thunderstruck is in my head! this makes Kuusuru happy ;D

Or for example I had to watch this video because it's about our guild in WoW.. And the background music is quite good especially from 1:40 ^^ www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wKBcKYtUZISo I'm not totally against it, but mostly It is not music. Music is made with musical instruments^^ But if you know any really good songs you can send me the link^^ Or this is also good www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVjeheaFfsMand this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=IgFwiCApH7(I know, the lyrics are again about nothing ) ,,now you're gone, I realise my love for you was strong" And who gives a f_ck?

But if you know any really good songs you can send me the link^^ Well, here's some of my favourite metalectronica/weird shit: www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQpxPzFQdXYA Finnish industrial band, one of my favourites... and someone has translated the humorous lyrics in this song into something even funnier in English Another great song of theirs, again with translation: www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjmZBGcEWKsBut not funny at all, deadly serious lyrics... Mortiis is great too: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSTUzJSrZ5ISomething REALLY different, Za Frumi: www.youtube.com/watch?v=aR68umNZoQMbasically, it's from Tolkien, it follows the adventures of a group of Orcs in Middle Earth... complete with really cool Orkish language

Kuusuru: Mortiis is wonderful, I've always loved his music, although some albums elicit more greatness than others, but that is to be had in nearly every band. Thank you for sharing Za Frumi! I've never heard them before and I love their music. It's basically like Summoning, only without the Black Metal. And Summoning is perhaps THE Tolkien-Themed Metal band of all time.
