Could be, I wouldn't wonder..afterall they're migrating people and migrations were always a ''vehicle'' in which languages ''travelled'', customs, etc. But it's pretty interesting and surprising still for me to hear you've got those too there. Remembered one that's a bit funny..odd even: when one feels guilty and close to the revealing of that guilt, it's said ''he/she feels like having a fly on the hat''. I never understood where or how that appeared.. There's another one in that sense , and a true comparison..but it's breaking rules of posting. Damn! ;D

''Worthy as a dead frozen onion''! How could I forget this one? Or ''standing like a muppet'' , adressed to inert people.. some also call those persons ''standing like Saint...'' (and name as Saint they don't like or sth).

In Czech, and maybe Slovak(I don't know much of their slang), we compare everything with "like a swine". It makes no sense when I think about it... xD Well this is true =) If we mean it in wrong way, we use like a swine or like a pig. Sometimes we use also cow. And in good way we use also "as picture" "as Angel" But what is really funny in Czech we use a lot of opposites in one sentence like: "To je tak strašně krásný" which means This is so terribly beautiful "To je příšerně úžasný" which means This is so awfully great. And my favorite "Je to geniálně debilní" which means It is genially idiotic.
