I'll join you. I've already been there in the "pre Lordi Square" time and know where we can also have a good and strong coffee. Two German tourists in a group are even more annoying than just one. Hehe.

Lordi's win is definitely a victory over the people running bland mainstream record labels, radio and tv stations and think they're giving people what they want.
Maybe we'll get a little more metal in the mainstream now that viewers all over Europe have given an overwhelming vote for metal over all the Britney/Celine wannabees.

i don't think lordi's triumph will change anything in that stubborn pop-world, but we can dream at least.
you must admit, that pop is pop and rock is rock...

I missed the contest! I went inot college today and my class knew that I love Finland and its music and culture and they kept going on about Finland! Even my dad likes Lordi now and he is very judgemental about my type of music! Well done Mr. Lordi and his partners in crime (I've quoted Amen's saying his view as my signiture )

In France, the presenters TV : M. DRUCKER and M. SIAR, have very bad behavior. And french people makes a petition.
Because they said about Lordi : "I would make listen to my dog", "For next years, they will go to Vincene's Zoo", "It's not with this (music, costum), that they will gain Eurovision"... and other sentences.
M. MONTIEL in Radio : "They're bad, They howle, they're ugly."
But in France, a lot of person, even if don't like Metal, voted for Lordi, because they're reel musiciens, they're original, the're not format by media TV...

Yes Helran - That's it: ...because they're real musicians, they're original, they're not formed by the media... Because of this i voted for them (and thats a cause why i hear Korpiklaani, too). I think their victory was good for the whole contest - and it's finally something other in compare to this ever-same shit every year!!

Some really good news I would say ;D Finally the good taste allways wins. But here some people are talking of a degenerated Song contest and really mean it. The German speaker even said in an interview he will never let his daughter again watch that show, because of these evil "creatures" making music (these were not his words but he said something like that ). I think they needed this kind of shock. The whole show became not more than a fake, you can not speak of competition anymore.

Yay Lordi won! I thought it was terrible because lots of people from the UK were complaining about the way they look, when they are so awesome!

It's the worst tabloid we have. People should stop taking that crappy paper serious. It's not even worth the paper it is printed on. I was pretty positive the Bild would publish some crap. People only believe what they wanna believe.
Actually, all the big and well-renowned German papers were pretty positive towards Lordi. the Frankfurter Rundschau has had a series of articles about Lordi over the last couple of weeks. And even the online versions of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Focus (both conservative and close to the CDU party) had positive articles. The covering has actually been much more positive than I thought.

Yay Lordi won! I thought it was terrible because lots of people from the UK were complaining about the way they look, when they are so awesome! I duuno about that. I'm in the UK and was at work when we heard the result on the radio and there was a huge cheer. My Dad (82) thought they were brilliant and has saved me a load of Lodi cuttings he's snipped out of all his newspapers ;D
