I guess that from all the Russian scene the band that would fit you best is Kalevala from Moscow. Of course, if you don't hate female voices.
Also Troll Gnet El [Troll Bends Fir] from Petersburg, its mood is similar to the Korpiklaani, but it's not metal, and there are not much overdriven guitars. And the second album of Petersburg's Wolfmare, it is called "Whitemare Rhymes" - I think it is the best folk metal album of Russia.

Kalevala, Fejd, and Lumsk all sound great!
This is excellent. From this thread alone I have about 10 new bands that I like. :-)

I'm sure you will receive many suggestions , and I don't want to steal everyone's thunder ;D, so I'll just give you this one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0JZab7-wE8Swedish band Fejd. Highly recommended if you don't mind your metal played with traditional instruments instead of electric guitars . That's one of the best thing you've recommended to me too some time ago and since then I've been listening them so often... posting this because being on Fejd mode a lot lately. ;D

Recently, I enjoyed Crystal Moors and Bran Barr a lot. Also, strongly suggest Finntroll. I loved Cruachan live, but for some reason not so much on record...
Also, bands like Drudkh and Aaskereia are DBM with folk elements.
