I love this cd! Just got it from amazon.com. My commute to work is 30 miles and Manala is just what's needed to get me pumped up for a dreary night of work. Petoelaimen and Rauta are my favorites.....

Each member of KK is great at this album.Espicially I am happy to se that Rounakari has quickly adapted to the band and violin melodies are excellent. So my favorites from this album are Ruumiinmultaa,Uni and Dolorous. Also the more I listen this album, the more I get motivated and happy. Thanks to KK,I finished succesfully a week of exams which I had started terribly .

This album is amazing, but If i had to pick one, it'd be "off to the hunt". song was constantly on repeat while doing mountain drives this last autumn.

My favourite one is Rauta. Still wondering, why it's not called "Iske". It's awesome, how one word repeated numerous times can get stucked in head. About english versions- to be honest I prefer "original" language, it's much easier to "feel" this album then. Also Ievan Polkka and Husky Sledge are my personal highlights on this album.

I also favor Rauta, but then I'm a hurdy gurdy player myself and I really like the buzzing bridge action in this song. Close second is Ruumiinmultaa because it is overall a good song and also has some badass fiddle parts.
Finnish version trumps the English version hands down. I can see why it was done, but it does sound like an afterthought.

I have to say, Manala is probably my favorite album so far! I think the only thing I don't like about it is that "Sumussa hämärän aamun" really seems kind of awkwardly placed? Maybe it's just me, but "Metsälle" really feels like the last song on the album, and then suddenly there's one more. I like the song a lot, it just feels a bit strange to me to be at the very end of the album. Not that I'm any kind of music expert or anything. As for English vs Finnish: I like the chorus for "Soil of the Corpse" in the English version a lot, actually! It flows very well for me. But other than that, I vastly prefer the Finnish version. "Ruumiinmultaa" is my favorite song, I think. The lyrics are really incredible, as well as the music and vocals. Other favorites are "Tuonelan Tuvila" and "Metsälle". And "Rauta" naturally.

Aye my favorite song of the album is the good ol' Ieva's Polkka. Even though I prefer the older stuff from Korpiklaani I still think this album kicks some serious balls. Can't wait for the next album, Noita!
