There's a dancing girl for the male part of the forum , not to say they are neglected. Thank you for thinking of us but... a little strange to have a dancing girl at a metal gig, in my opinion . At least, should have had a dancing guy as well, for equality ;D . Maybe one blonde and one non-blonde so everyone is covered . I did like the band's costumes, though . Hail! to bands like Orphaned Land, Korpiklaani, Turisas and Ensiferum who eschew black t-shirt and black jeans in favour of something more interesting... (says he who wouldn't be seen dead in anything else ;D)

Hahaha, girls, boys, blond and not-so-blond - the stage will be narrow! ;D ;D ;D Of course I like some blondies, not only brunets, there must be variety. They are great in making "windmill" with the hairs.

Well this is why I only listen Orphaned Land on CD, as I kant watch...will not give details , but it reminds me of a morning in Bulgaria when we had to shut the tv, as explcit gestures were made by a similar dancer. And call me crazy, but I think the boys here go for the wits, even if temporarily enjoy the sight of a snakeish dance, hahaha. OH!!!!! but meanwhile you hit us hard with an iconic video!!! I agree with the previuos post! ;D hottest video! ;D aaaarrrrrgh!!!!

I don't agree, because Oriental dance can be a national dance, with good performance. We can't blame Turkish, Greek, etc. Balkan or Arab music, if elements of them are used in semi-"culture" to create vulgar products. I don't think the dancing girl in the Orphaned Land clip was vulgar or indecent, may be a little strange with heavy metal song, but no more. As folk-metal is dealing with the national folklore, saying Amon Amart is better, exploring Old Norse myths, than Orphaned Land, exploring old Jewish or Arab myths or melodies, comes as a contradiction of cultures. Judging which culture is better is not proper, according to me, because every nation has a contribution in the common culture of mankind.

It is not a question of blaming or making a top of cultures (it's an absurdity in itself to make such a comparison, as a comparison in the start should be done only between elements belonging to the same assembly, not different ones!). My post is an individual reaction of expressing preferrences, not to cast disrespect toward Turkish, Greek, etc. Balkan or Arab music. Which I kant say of course about the under culture both of us know we have here in the area as a plague (even that would be ok if only just they would be more discrete and not overly invade people's fonic spaces). So, to summarise: that girl reminded me of sth and I have said it, as afterall I did not even watched the whole video. I do not watch what I don't like and that is it, a simple prefference. Appendix: what I do like is indeed Orphaned Land, and the concepts behind their music, which is a sufficient prove that I am not disrespecting any culture. Or maybe I am taking this too personal.
