I was listening Ismo Alanko all evening, still love this guy's music and his voice a lot. I know that many people don't like him for some reasons, but i think he is a real genius, in making so much music and often so different styled. It was a little hard to find samples, but here you can find some in the Jukebox (Avaa jukebox), just search for his name. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- I originally wanted to post a link to the new Lumsk video clip: Om Hundrede Aar er Alting glemtwell there ^^ it is *edit: the layout of this post ;D

Folkearth: By the sword of my father I really like this song because my main reason is for the little bss/acoustic interlude in the middle of the song and the ending is quite epic. Www.myspace.com/folkearthHas anybody heard of this "band" before? the band consists of Artists from 20 countries

All That Remains - Empty Inside.
I tend to listen to bands like All That Remains, SOiL, Fear Factory and stuff when I'm frustrated. To throw the volume wide open and scream along with the lyrics makes me calm somehow.

Tuatha de Danann: "Believe, It's True!" Brazilian Folk Metal. The songs are so crazy, some kind of Jethro Tull influence make them musics to be good. It's Heavy Metal, with a lot of happyness. www.tuathadedanann.com.br/

Sonata Arctica - Shy Another very nice ballad, this time by Sonata Arctica... Seem to be a lot of balads coming up on my playlists recently. They have a couple of more slower songs, but this is the one I like most Nice song, but DAMN Toni Kakko's accent in this song ruins it a bit.

With bitterness and joy - Sentenced
Still an important band to me even if they are not anymore. Often damn true lyrics, often fulfilling my need for self-pity and suicide stuff, sarcasm and black humour. Though the mentioned song is a rather positive one considering it is Sentenced; there's a lot of shit happening in life but still there's some good moments that are worth it.

Silverside - Window of Suicide.
Silverside are a small Italian band of my friend, they are not well known, they only have a demo out at the moment. For beginners, they are pretty good.

Presently listening to...Stary Olsa- "Weel", Judas Priest- "Ram It Down", Elvenking- "The Winter Wake", Moonlight Fear- "Geminis", Mago De Oz- "Gaia" and Chalice (I forget the name of the album). All are very good bands. If you like traditional folk/historically-inspired music, definitely check out Stary Olsa. They're from Belarus. They don't play 'metal', but do incorporate a lot of native instruments and traditional languages and would probably appeal to folk fans. www.staryolsa.com If you want the native language website, or: www.staryolsa.com/eng/index.shtml In English.

White Owl - Miksi Ne Neijot I got a link for a free download from White Owl, a Russian band. Their newest album Pepper is for free click hereMore about White Owl: www.myspace.com/whiteowlru through www.jamendo.com you can listen and download many albums for free. It is a little small yet, mostly music from France, but i guess it will grow. The concept resembles last.fm a lot

Nightwish - the Oceanborn album
I got sick of listening to music that didn't make me feel like playing air guitar, so I whacked some Nightwish on.

Otyg - Huldran
With this band you mostly hear voilin, drums and vocals. This is one of the few songs on which the guitar is obvious present. Great band, and catchy song!
