I personally wouldn´t recommend that to others... maybe if you can get it free of pay.... but I wouldn´t advise anyone to give away money for it. (But that`s just my personal taste, as I said.) THose cd's are among the best in the last decade, for me. Of course anybody has it's likes, but I strongly recommend them... simply fucking grrrrrreat for me. About Danni's voice... it's an opinion I've heard many times, but I love his voice. I don't understand why people thinks his voice is bad and then hear the so called pure black metal (don't mean any of you say that) or groups where voice is even more gutural.

I generally prefer clean voices, or just a little bit gruff. If it is growling, then I prefer it to be deep, unlike Dani who screams very high. It just gets on my nerves. But then I don't like high voices in general, not a big fan of sopranos (I haven't sung soprano since I was fourteen, I'm a female tenor, that may have something to do with it!)

Yes, that's something I've been told by a lot of people... I remember one friend (who actually liked his voice) telling me that Dani sang as a female rat which wanted to be fucked ;D I don't know, I really like his voice and I'm amazed for tha fact that screaming so loud his voice has remained very much the same after 12 years; I even find the mix of his voice and the deepness of Cradle early music very relaxing... but you know, if you want likes and dislikes take a look at colours

Dani: frustated, high-heel wearing, gayaas screeching, make-up wearing, ball licking, coke sniffing midget with an inferiority complex.
That's the nicest thing I could find to say about him....
hehehehe
I'm sorry, but I'm a hardcore CoF hater. Never liked the band, ever... I mean, there was always something in me that me loathe that band deeply. The first album is almost bearable... but everything after that is totally pointless and expectable. They always did what exactly expected of them and what the market was waiting for to gobble up... a bit like Dimmu.
Opinions opinions...

Colours, indeed. *sigh*
I'm not a CoF hater, as I say, I like the music. Their instrumental tracks are fine. It's just the vocals. I've been called shallow for not liking a band just cos I don't like the vocals, but for me, everything has to be good. The whole package, you know.
And yeah, how these people growl and scream without completely fucking up their throats within 5 minutes is a mystery to me!

If you like songwriters I could recommend you Joaquin Sabina; it's a Spanish one which I like veeery much. But don't expect a Dylan or something like that. He sings on Spanish and his music goes from light rock, to tango-like, or even songs with a touch of flamenco. It's really good, and maybe the portuguesse section has heard something of him.

The guy I'm talking of is very famous in Argentina, and he tells that once in Buenos Aires he was driving his car and anothe rone was following him all the while, so he stops in order to smash the face of the follower, and then a guy get out from the car with a boy and a girl and told the singer that he had a boy called Joaquin and a girl called Sabina as proof of admiration... argentinos...

I love Mikael Akerfeldt´s singing! I prefer clean singing over death metal vocals but I´d be empty without a little bot of growling
