I worked one month in Jesolo, Italy, it was a great holiday Friends, sea, playing guitar-singing in the beach at the night, football world cup, dolce vita.... Today I made a little trip with my family to the nearby villages, they were also beautiful, the houses, the woods, everything. Oh, my native land...I post some of the photos in the 'Pictures of your environment' topic.

I've already had two weeks of holiday, which i spent at home with cleaning, cooking, gardening and watching Tv. and for have a rest I unplugged my computer, so no e-mails could arrive about work and also turned my mobile off. Moreover I was on a beach nearby twice or three times.
Now I'm working until the middle of August and then we'll go to Kõszeg, western Hungary with my husband. I'm planning to visit Szombathely (that's the city where Thyr lives), the mountains of that area and we might go to Austria for a day.

I have no job this summer but it it's not just holidays all summer. I moved in July, I guess you can call that month holiday. I mainly arranged things and packed. And now I am in Hungary Budapest in summer univesity... From monday to friday is studying from 9 am to half 4 pm and after that almost every day a visit to museum or some kind of seminar. Saturdays are for whole day trips to some smaller towns. Sunday is only day off. I wouldn't call this summer course a holiday which some people here tought it would be. But still I am having fun and all the lessons are really intresting! So I don't complain. In August I have twoo weeks for 'doing nothing' so I'm going to decorate my new home and travel a bit in Finland to visit relatives and meet some friends or something like that...

Thyr, thanks for your advice. Velem was in our plans, but I haven't visited the castle of Bozsok yet, so we'll do it. And we won't skip Írottkõ...that can be beautiful. We love going for a trip in the mountains. And as far as I remember it from my childhood the best tap-water and milk is in that part of our small country. My main reason for going there for a holiday is to show my husband how nice is everything there, though the last summer I was at Köszeg and Szombathely was in 1993. I think lots of things has changed since then. I And now I am in Hungary Budapest in summer univesity... If you need some help in getting around in BP, or feel lost, just write a PM for me and I'll try to help you. And take an EXIT magazine or a PESTI EST at a cinema near you to check out the concerts and clubs if you are interested in it.

I just returned from Kitee, Rääkkylä and Ylämylly where some of my relatives live. It was very nice to seem them all because i don't have the possibility to visit them very often because of the long distanse; It's quite funny...these people are very lovely in many ways but i can honestly say that i don't know them that well even they are my relatives...but it has nothing to do with that fact that this topic is about holidays and how you're gonna spend them - not about about relatives ;D I especially liked to visit my mother's aunts and their family in Rääkkylä because i haven't been in that village in many many years. But as after every trip it is great to be at home, too! I'm not working anymore so it would be nice to find a new job for this summer...but i don't know...maybe i'll meet my friends during the days because i've been so anti-social for sometime now. And this weekend is the time for the faces etno festival in Billnäs! It's quite near my home and i've had a good time there earlier so there i will be also this year.

We are performing there with Alku. Too bad is that we'll play only for the organizers, not in public.. Althought we lose one gig with public, we may have an opportunity to win more public gigs later instead! Gigging is great!! I would like to do that all the time! Anyway I'll be in the festival-area both friday and saturday. I'm looking forwards to Amoc's gig!

I'm in ELTE and I am learning Hungary which I also study in Helsinki university. And the Exit I discovered at the day I arrived here:D There's lot of intresting stuff there but we have too much program in this course that I would have time to do something else. I've been to movies just once during all this time here(Csak sex és más semmi, was quite fun and simple so I understod something..) and that's quite a shame 'cause I haven't seen the 'real' city that much. Not that I haven't seen a lot though... I've been here now about three weeks and I'm getting to know all the bus' and trams quite well, at least around center.

Muistan sinun maininneen jotain mahdollisesta esiintymisestä faces-festarailla jo siellä suomenlinnassa mutta toki on hieno kuulla että se on varmaa. Toivotan onnea! Esiintyminen järjestäjille on varmasti suuri kunnia. Itse olen mitä luultavammin myös menossa katsomaan Amocia huomenna vaikka keikan ajankohta on ehkä liian aikainen (jos muistan oikein...) a translation:I remember that you mentioned something about performing with your group already in suomenlinna but it is nice to hear that the gig is confirmed. I wish you good luck! It is a great honor to perferm to the organizators indeed I probably will go see Amoc's gig too tho it's a little bit too early (if i remember well)

I went to Bretange in France (Britanny in English). We were on a camping of an English woman, who runs the camping on her own. There was no electricity, so there were nice-smelling oil lamps at the toilets. Lower there was a little field next to a small stream. Very nice an easy holiday

i arrived 15min from Oostende in Belgium. i went yestreday there to watch Natacha Atlas concert. pity it only lasted for 1h. Oostende is a crap city. doesnt have monuments pratically. just a city to get tourists with lots of buildings and 1 or 2 things. when the way back i checked Brugges which is really great to check! lots of medieval/old buildings. still i prefer holland to beligum. but it was funny to see that belgium combines things from holland and france. i didnt notice so much german influence (fortunatly ). i had a discussion with a kind of fundamentlist catholic, so i upset him because according to him i "didnt open my heart." and "i didnt want to see the truth". well, it was a pity he was a bit fundamentalist otherwise we could have had a bretter conversation. :] now i need to rest.

I am going on holidays!! It's just a quick trip down the coast of New South Wales to a lovely little place called Myola. I will be staying in a caravan park for a long weekend (I've taken Friday and Monday off work). I stayed in this caravan park a few times when I was much younger (about 10-12) and I have very fond memories of the location, so I am looking forward to going back again. I hope to do a lot of reading on the beach, wandering through the bush, and talking by candlelight. www.jervisbaytouristpark.com.au/
