I'm so excited for this. It seems there's going to be a lot of guests on it, too. And the pictures he's posted look really cool.

Sorry for the double-post, but I drew this the other day for Jonne's birthday... I didn't want to make it look exactly like his tattoo, since that's already been done (better!) by another artist. But I hope it's recognizable anyhow. Attachments:

It's not music-related, so hopefully it's okay to post on this thread, but I recently watched a couple very good films.
One of them is a documentary called "Reel Injun" and it's about the history of Native Americans portrayed in Hollywood, and how damaging it has been.
And the other is called "Smoke Signals". It's about these two young guys who live on a reservation who go on a road trip, and one of the guys has to come to terms with his history with his abusive father.
Both of these films are kind of intense to watch, but I think they're important, because the media rarely ever gives any kind of glimpse into contemporary Native American lives, and both these films are specifically made by Native American people.

Good:I finally met with a psychiatrist. Bad:I'm diagnosed with depressive episode . Worse:My medicines looks hard. The reviews and directories about them frightened me. Much worse:Due to effect on sleeping habits, one of my medicines threatens my work life . The Best:The only natural medicine that I use is my guitar . I expect that I will have to rely on her more than ever. Fortunately, I play better than before according to my guitar teacher . I'm sorry to come up with such news folks .I hope I will come up with better news next months. Agh, depression is rough. I hope your medications work out alright. One of the most important things for me to get through difficult times has been art, so it's good that you have your guitar. My day: Bad: I get sick and anxious frequently and lately have been going back into a relapse. By now I know that eventually it will pick back up again, but I also know that after things improve, eventually they'll swing back down again, so sometimes it feels like I will never get better. Also, I love to draw, but lately I've always been wanting to draw when I need to sleep, so either I draw or I sleep. Usually I choose to draw, and I'm sure the lack of sleep doesn't help my health. Recently I was awake for about 28 hours because I wanted to draw so badly but was too tired to actually draw. Good: After about 5 years of barely being able to draw at all, I've been getting really into it again. I've been drawing since before I could talk, so I can't begin to express how great it feels to actually be having fun drawing again.

I once had a dream that Korpiklaani were having a concert in the middle of a huge street surrounded on all sides by people and then Cane and Rounakari started zooming around on little hovercrafts. I kind of like to think about what dreams "mean" and such... But I think maybe there's no explaining this one...

Manala

I have to say, Manala is probably my favorite album so far! I think the only thing I don't like about it is that "Sumussa hämärän aamun" really seems kind of awkwardly placed? Maybe it's just me, but "Metsälle" really feels like the last song on the album, and then suddenly there's one more. I like the song a lot, it just feels a bit strange to me to be at the very end of the album. Not that I'm any kind of music expert or anything. As for English vs Finnish: I like the chorus for "Soil of the Corpse" in the English version a lot, actually! It flows very well for me. But other than that, I vastly prefer the Finnish version. "Ruumiinmultaa" is my favorite song, I think. The lyrics are really incredible, as well as the music and vocals. Other favorites are "Tuonelan Tuvila" and "Metsälle". And "Rauta" naturally.

Oh hey, this is relevant to my interests. Are you still looking for answers for this, or have you already written the paper?

My name's Grim, I'm 22 (23 in a month!) and I live in Washington, USA. I'm originally from California. I live in a weird black house with 8 other people. I found this forum a while ago, but unfortunately it didn't seem very active anymore, so I held off on joining. But Korpiklaani linking to it on their facebook page made me want to join, so here I am! Also trying to communicate with people via facebook always feels really sterile and awkward, for some reason. I discovered Korpiklaani in early 2011, and their music has helped me through some really rough times. My favorite thing is drawing, especially comics. For the last few years I've been trying to re-learn how to do it for fun, which has been surprisingly difficult. I recently started making short little autobiographical comics to help me cope with things, and that's helped a lot. Also drawing Korpiklaani fanart helps, too. I'm not sure what else to say here! Whenever I say anything, I tend to either talk too much or too little, so we'll see how this goes.
