Oh, yes, I heard this song very long ago. It`s about poor painter, who was in love with famous actress. As a mark of his love, painter gifted to his beloved with the million of scarlet roses.

yes, exactly! Every woman would like to have million scarlett roses as a gift ;D And about Alla...she has very rusty voice nowdays so i think that she would make a good metal singer only if she would want to..

Uh, tastes are really different in this world. I absolutely dislike his voice... absolutely feelingless and not nice anyway. If it were`nt for the female voices in Haggard and the instruments and melodies that make me listen to it... but Asis`voice along would never make me listen to it. But I TOTALLY like the voice of the former female singer of Haggard (who was fired and now sings in Equilibrium, don`t know her name, sorry), HER voice was an absolute dream, couldn`t believe my ears when I heared her unique breathtaking voice for the first time in my life.

About the former female singer I totally agree, she has a terrific voice, much better than the remaining femme singer. I think that Asis has one of the best grunts I've ever heard. Don't know what I said about that, because your quote is incomplete, but it's all about his grunting. The other male singer Fifi (very odd lap dog's name in Holland), also has a great voice.

Jari Mäenpää (Wintersun, Ensiferum (older), Arthemesia) Jari's voice is like my ultimate favourite, with his instant switches from clean to harsh vocals and the sheer quality of them.
Andreas Hedlund (Vintersorg, Otyg, Borknagar (new)) Pretty much the same reasons as Jari. Hpwever I don't enjoy his work with Borknagar as much as his other work or Borknagar's other work.
Simen Hestnaes (Borknagar (mid-period), Arcturus (new), Dimmu Borgir) Mmmmm, one of the main redeeming points of Dimmu Borgir for me, though I much prefer his other works.
The clean singer from Nomans Land I can't find his actual name, I get different answers from different sites, but regardless I love his voice. Deep, textured, viking-sounding accent. Perfect.
Hansi Kürsch (Blind Guardian, Demons And Wizards) Lovely vocals, I just can't get enough.
Ilja Jalkanen (Kiuas) Nice strong vocals with a gruff edge.

That doesn't surprise me, to reach that pitch he does, you need to wear too tight underwear or get kicked in your nuts, I saw Dragonforce live the day before yesterday, all I can say is: Damn!

Well obviously Jonne is the best metal/folk singer. But next to him is: -James Hetfield(old School material) -Dani Filth (He has such an intense voice -The Singer from Deicide ( I forgot his name but he is brilliant to keep the sustain while singing) -And of course Ozzy Osbourne (Early Black Sabbath material) Alexi from Children Of Bodom

Oh, that's a tough question ... I could name quite a few. Vinnie Cavanagh - Anathema Nick Holmes - Paradise Lost (up to Draconian Times) Tomi Koivusaari - Amorphis (does anyone remember the good old days? ) Mick Moss - Antimatter Johan Hegg - Amon Amarth Justin Sullivan - New Model Army Now, that's a wild mix.
