What is your favourite food? Is it typical for your country? (do you have a good receipe?) Which national dish do you hate?

Hmm, quite normal Finnish home-made dishes in general; soups (pea-, meat-, fish-, sausage- etc.), meat balls and potatoes, sausages, sizzled reindeer with mashed potatoes, salt cured salmon, bass and pike-perch, oatmeal porridge with pat of butter, rice porridge with cinnamon and sugar, omelets, casseroles, game, Karelian pies and Karelian roast, thin barley loaf, berrysoups, and of course dark bread or sour black bread at every eating. Also chicken dishes and steaks are a must, as well as "pyttipannu" (some sort of mix of eggs, potato- and sausagecubes fryed). Of more foreign dishes I like oriental, indian and italian foods, and also foods from the Middle East.
In general I drink very much milk, and I'm surely addicted to tea with milk and honey or syrup made of spruce's yeargrowths. I also like fruit and berry juices, and of course mead, both regular and made of spruce's growths. Of even more alcoholic drinks I like dark beers and the Finnish "sahti", but recently even started to like red wines, especially South African. However I say no to all strong spirits; they are dangerous and mostly taste like solvents of some sort.
What I don't like are coffee, mushrooms, onions in big amounts and many kinds of dishes that have got very exotic or other ways "extraordinary" living beings in them. Also very sweet eatables are somewhat forbidding.
Of the Finnish dishes I still don't really like "mämmi", that is made of rye meal and then malted; it tastes someways stuffy and anything else than refreshing so to say. (And looks like shit, btw.)

I'm not very picky, I normally anything that is put in front of me...
Faves: Any italian food, specially pizzas. I'm absolutely addicted to italian food... I think it's a disease. grilled meat and fish done in the portuguese way (simple... just salt) Soups (love soups) Codfish... and many other things. Like I said I'm not picky.
Things I don't like so much: Entrails (liver, kidney and that crap... hate it really) Fava beans Greenpeas...
And I'm also not a big fan of cakes, chocolate and sweet stuff in general. But it 'em from time to time.
The traditional portugues food is extremely heavy and normally consist of cooking (boiling) a lot of things in a big smoking pan filled with water. However we are also very fond of grilled fish on coal... we're a seaside country afterall with a HUGE fishing tradition.
The "emblematic" dish in portugal is "Cozido à Portuguesa" which consists of putting everything you can think of inside a pan filled with water: vegetables, pork, stuffed smoked meat and... whatever else you want.

Food I love: Most Italian food - pasta, pizza, etc Roasts! Mashed potato!
Food I hate: Seafood - I can cope with cod and haddock, but most fish makes me queasy. Have to agree with cez les - industrial farmed meat. I try to only eat organically farmed meat now, and the taste is sooo much better, not to mention the fact you know the animals are treated much better, and not fed shit.
National dish - well, roast beef and fish n chips are pretty much our national foods.... although so is curry now...

Cloudberry preserves, right out of the jar. Brazilian buffet with rotisserie beef Felafel Huge fry-up with extra toast and bacon Steak and Ale or Guinness pie Boo Berry French toast swimming in butter and fake maple syrup
Bad: Rocky Mountain Oysters (i.e. Bull Balls) Fast Food, esp. loathsome fucking McDonalds Mako Shark with Lemon Juice (i.e. Ammonia Overkill) Boxed macaroni and cheese with toxic orange 'cheese' Marmite soldiers Lucky Charms Tripe General Chen's Crispy Shanghai Beef (i.e. butchered alley-cat)

Like Frostheim told: Ruisleipä Rye flour, water, salt and yeast You need to have "dough root" to make the bread sour, the bread it's excellent when the bread is hard... yummy... I can't do the orginal Ryebread 'Ruisleipä' because I don't have own root, but the bread from the shops are really good too Mämmi just like Frostheim told but yes, it looks like shit but tastes like heaven EDIT: found good mämmi-site from the net www.dlc.fi/~marianna/gourmet/mammi.htm

one of my faviourite dishes is " richert ".
It is made of beans , vegetables , meat ( normaly from pork ribs ) and barley . I think it is best described as a kind of stew .
I also love Vienese cottlet , all kinds of fish ( prawns , shrimps ,crabs , hummer , shells ........) , mushrooms and Austrian cakes ( we make very good ones ) .
By the way , does anyone know Mr . Crabs from those Spongebob movies - I always get hungry when I see him .
