How about "Il lea voibmi" ? Are there any lyrics or any info about the idea of this song? Btw:Speaking 6 languages, I do not understand a word of this Sámi language^^ But sounds just similar to Finnish, right? I lea voibmi is translated Have no mental strenght or power what ever.... It goes like: I have no power I have no family I have no money You would be my power You would be my family you would be my girl and the rest is as yoik.. Thanks for the translation!!!! I like it a lot!!!! Is it a traditional one or it was yours, Jonne? Could you please write also the lyrics in Sami, please?

Jonne (or someone else who knows the answer), as yoik is a huge part of the shaman-music... could you explain a little bit what the secret of yoiking is?? I like the sound very much, but how is it done? Is it just like singing, or is it a bit like yodel?? I can't really figure out, but I want try and learn it.

Virva, that doesn't tell anything about the technique used when yoiking. And thats what I'm interested in... There isn`t one and only technique to do it like regular singing neither. So nobody can`t help you that easy. You can`t do it, you have to feel and live it.
