Sheol Magazine is not coming this year (no one). So Wacken is all YOURS! Bring us photos! Honestly, it´s too expensive (100,- Euros only the tickets... plus travel etc.), I mean I will see Korpiklaani at 3 or 4 more other (much cheaper) festivals this year, so I´ll skip Wacken (Emperor and Celtic Frost would be interesting for us, too... but they will tour in autumn anyway). Also we wouldn`t get such a good photo allowance this year (last year Jon of Dissection organized a artists-pass for me, so I could access the stage for some gigs, and British Metal Radio got me in free of pay... but this year no one that I know will come, so I could make photos only from far away, maybe you remember from last year, that photo-allowance doesn´t automatically mean, that you can access the photo pit... you must have very good relations to do so... it worked with Dissection because they are just 4, so when they wrote "5 band member passes" no one checked, they only check starting from 6 or 7 members, if the band really has so much members, as many people try to get in their girlfriends like this, but Wacken doesn´t allow of course. Money is all that counts for them. And as I said, all the bands I wanna see there, come on tour anyway later or before). So it´s just not worth it. Too much effort and money. Sheol Magazine concentrates on Party San Festival this year, as all our favourite bands play there (except Korpiklaani of course) and many bands that our readers like. But, Humppaporo... honestly, last year after 5 big festivals (each over 3 days every weekend) in a row, I had indeed an overdose (just too much bands in such short time), I still haven`t written the Summerbreeze report. So this year I´ll set priorities and concentrate on some few special festivals. ( And as a result of this "overdose" I don´t remember all the gigs, I only remember Dissection, Naglfar, Korpiklaani and a few more, but the other hundret bands I saw or interviewed, I forgot. But last autumn after some weeks without concerts the feeling returned of course... I just needed a break. But the love for this music will never die.) Sorry, if I talk myself into rage, but there`s one more thing that pisses me off about Wacken: it´s not Metal anymore. There are so many pop-bands playing. It gets more and more commercial. Like last year: the winner of the german version of "star search" played there. I mean, there´s nothing wrong with mixed festivals, but I personally prefer pure Metal- or Folk-Festivals.

i cant wait to wacken! one of the reasons im going to wacken is korpiklaani! i cant stop listening to them! thank them for their marvellous music!

I will not be able to answer questions etc about Wacken, because I am off the the country of the 1000 lakes for a while... Will probably be back at July 20. I will try to check the board and mail every now and then. but cannot promise anything.

Bad news for me. I have to go to hospital next week and thus, cannot go to Wacken. I was really looking forward to the camp and seeing Korpiklaani and Amon Amarth but this thing is pretty urgent. ((
I would like to sell my ticket. Does anyone have a friend without a ticket? I'll give it away with a "discount". Preferably to someone from Germany who could transfer the money through their bank account. Whoever replies until tomorrow, will get my cell phone number and we can figure things out. I'll be gone for a few days and will only be available through cell phone. Otherwise, I can only check my mails Monday and we would see.
