Greetings and hei, hauska tutustua, heidnisch! A followeress from Berlin, I have been sneaking through this - it seems(?) - half abandoned forum to share my enthusiasm about the recent PAGANFEST experience ) and just wanted to respond now, a humble, friendly echo to your own excitement... I am fully with you and hope you will be just as thrilled as I was during and after the concert! They played BERLIN @postbahnhof, the last act and toooooo short, yet with obvious joy and spirit, all of them! Best wishes from Germany, Berlin - Nickles, who has not stopped listening to Korpiklaani and Jonne's shamanic solo-album ever since ;o)) Have a loudly yoiking springtime!

Hei, heidnisch! Hrrgh...used the wrong password and had to prove I was human several nerve-wrecking times )), until they let me in here I had typed everything one can think of, from 'Fruit Cake' to 'Wicked Guitar Solo' - I'm definitely not used to forums. Just looked up 'Mr. Smalls' and am thrilled to find it's a former catholic church from the 18th century - How great is that! And what a delicious sacrilege! My childhood upbringing makes me shiver! ;o))) First time I encountered something like that was in Dublin, while checking in at Mountjouy Youth Hostel in the 80s/90s, then realising it was a former monastery, with the milk bar right where tabernacle and altar used to be and breakfast tables set up in the prayers' room. Amazing. Strange vibes though. I swear weird things happened... But what I'm really saying is that, very likely, every sensitive musician is excited to be singing and yoiking in a place packed with the echoes of spiritual power of some kind! So it's your first concert show in 16 years? You must have been terribly occupied!! Sounds like the thirst for live music I had to go through myself, but in my case it weren't 16 years - two years were enough to make me childishly happy at the sight of long-haired people shouting "Iske, iske!" ))) May you see a blessed spring season over there, heidnisch, and enjoy lots of good music! Life is too short to miss out on the good and beautiful things it offers! Keep on galloping - Merry meet, merry part and merry meet again...(probably here) ;o)

ah the reason for the extended hiatus of seeing shows
was due to that fact that i had some life changes...one of them was becoming a parent
yes Mr.Smalls is a intimate venue from what i am told...and i see they have a beer bunker
which is fortunate...for i enjoy beer immensely
the last show i seen was Black Sabbath in 1999...
to me...this will be a gathering of the tribes...my people...paying homage to the greats
TAPPORAUTA !

Greetings, happy heidnisch - Whilst your own anticipated event is getting nearer, I am excited to find that KORPIKLAANI will be hanging around (or should I rather say 'working like mad'??) in Germany in summer and autumn: If indeed they survive their murderous, tight tour schedule (-> if Lempo is with them ;o) ) I can nurture hopes for at least one more great show, a gig in Berlin in October @heidenfest. Until then, my Finnish should be moderately fluent and most lyrics implanted in my head for good ;o)
Have a joyful gathering of the tribes, enjoy your beer and that song about it, and, perhaps, post some pictures later, in case you find the time and opportunity that evening - but you'll probably be busy jumping, singing and rather not miss a moment behind the lense of a camera, then rightfully so ;o)
Nähdään pian!

Greetings, heidnisch - mitä kuuluu? ;o) I don't know you at all, but really had to think of you yesterday, looking at the clock and being six hours ahead, then reckoning that whilst I was about to lay my weary head late at night/early morning, you were joining a heated atmosphere with sweaty happy people, dancing and shouting...right? Hope you had a wonderful time after such a long live-music abstinence! With Berlin so very green and blossoming in spring, lots of outdoor activities and people suddenly smiling more often, I can wait...wait until autumn...when they'll be back )
