Hello all the people!!!! I have always liked medieval, viking and celtish clothing but I have never found it here in Spain; well, actually I've found, just a little in which if you wanted to buy a shirt you had to sell one of your kidneys; so, my bro Leitisdahl, the artist before known as Raul , and me have thought how to do it ourselves but as we don't know a shit of sewing and all that, we would need some advises... yeah, well, you're right in what you're thinking, this Spaniards are crazy . Well, I'll try to summarise, which is something almost impossible for me. Does anyone of you know how to sew for example a shirt as the one Jonne wears in the album photos? as you probably don't know hot to, does anybody know where we could find the "patrons" (I don't know if that's the correct word; I mean the drawings and explanations of how to do it) for sewing clothes like these, for free? I mean internet resources, books you have (in pdf) or something like that. Or if you have nothing of that kind, the direction of any e-shop not too much expensive. Well, thank you all boyz and girlz

well, i might just give you a hand since i've got some time ;D so...beginning you have to click on the gate ( i think that's not too hard though) then you'll see a whole lot of weird advertisements, jus ignore those. on the left theres a whole lot of swords - click on the one saying "Zum Shop" so now you have to go through some stupid gate again and then youre finally there. to the left are some swords again...you want clothes so click on "Gewandung" now there's lots of more options under Gewandung. there's all sorts of things so I'd just have a look through everything... hope that helped a little!

If you check the german Ebay you'll find a lot of nice clothes. I always buy my medievalfolktouched clothes there if I didn't do them by myself :-) If you use the german ebay, use follow words: Mittelalter , Folklore , Schnürhemd hehehehehe

How is this for Viking clothes? I haven't sewn since I was a little girl, but I gave it a try! I tried to do a basic Viking style tunic. I had to change the trim though, but I thought this still worked! Like? Yes, the sleeves are a bit short and the waist tight, but I miscalculated the measurements a bit. Know for next time! Maybe now I can move up to adult size! Any suggestions?

That is AWESOME!!! He is certainly deserving of the name Tristan! I love it, and even if you miscalculated at least it fits him (for now, I imagine he will hit a growth spurt and grow out of them faster than we think, haha) and he can look back at them as his first homemade Tunic (or is it his first? )

Looks nice ,try to make the adult size too. Wish I could help you but I dissapointed my family clan too (we have great taylors in it) as i kant /don't want to sew, but... I draw these kind of clothes and when they sew me some I paint Viking symbols on them..tis my suggestion..with the painting. Maybe one day i'll show you a dress of mine..still, you have to have patience on that, as I reveal my stuff with a velocity of a snail ;D

Thank you so much! @walkyriatina: it actually did cross my mind to get fabric paint to add some runes perhaps, but that would be too similar to drawing and I am left handed...meaning they would look better if my son were to draw them! ;D I had a terrible enough fight with the sewing machine! So now will wait unpatiently for you to show that dress! Am curious! I think I can make an adult tunic now--but I'd have no one to measure for! Maybe I will try a traditional Viking apron dress? Bartbär: Thank you so very much! ;D Although Tristan is far from a Viking name, right? But...his middle name is Crimson, so that fits in a bit better with battle weary Norsemen! (Oh yes, our parents were THRILLED with the names! LOL!) Perhaps I need to try a more Celtic tunic then with an Arthurian flourish? Nah... Next year for faire will attempt leather bracers for him as well!

You're welcome Oslo Yeah, try the apron dress, I figure tis easier to make and if any flaw appears ya can always cover it with the belt.
