Hello!
I've been listening to a couple German bands (In Extremo and Tanzwut) who use traditional instruments for several years now. I recently became aware of folk metal and am really liking Korpliklaani and Livintroll.
I'm looking for other bands that are similar to these ones. Any suggestions? What I don't like is the lyrics being screamed in a death metal kind of way like Finntroll.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. :-)

Highly recommended if you don't mind your metal played with traditional instruments instead of electric guitars . Having said that, I listen to (early) Finntroll much more often

They also make folk metal and Jonne was featuring in one of their songs... if i remember correctly that song is titled 'Praying is nothing' www.myspace.com/clanskiltron

Well it's pretty amusing, but I'll promise to check them out later today when I get home It's just that they're riding on the name of the most well known band of the whole folk metal genre -> finntroll.net/

There are folk-metal bands with a little harsh death vocals, but with great melodies - Nomans Land, Kivimetsan Druidi, Falkenbach, Glittertind, Alkonost.

Hello! What I don't like is the lyrics being screamed in a death metal kind of way like Finntroll. oups, sorry - stay AWAY from Finsterforst! Get as close as you can to Fejd and Lumsk. yes, Lumsk will be great too!
