Thank you so much for interesting recommendations, Dave! I have to check them out whenever i have the opportunity...I hope that they come to the theatres someday also in here or at least in the DVD. I must admit that Almodovar is the only spanish director who's work is familiar to me. I've seen one film by a spanish director sea inside me or something like that and i liked it...but i don't even remember his name. Anyway, you should really let your curiousity win and watch some Almodovar film! But let me warn you; you'll get addicted...or that's what happened to me. Some may think that he's movies are very sick but every good form of art is sick in it's own way About Pirates of Caribbean 2... hm...I haven't seen Will hunting but internet movie database says that it's him, Stellan Skarsgård. and i understand your point about the distance between the main characters and even agree with you on that. Well said! Also the fact that the first movie was good because of it's freshness - it was all new and the 2nd movie only repeats the old tale.

I must admit that Almodovar is the only spanish director who's work is familiar to me. I've seen one film by a spanish director sea inside me or something like that and i liked it...but i don't even remember his name. I supposse it was Sea Inside, by Alejandro Amenábar. He was the director of Abre Los Ojos (Vainilla Sky is the same movie, a remake for the USA), "Los Otros" (The Others) and Tesis (Thesis). Sea Inside was about a tetraplejic man who claimed for Euthanasia. I must admit I haven't seen it, I remember that when it was on cinemas my mood was not the correct one for such a sad film as that one. But it won allmost every prize of the Spanish Cinema Academy.

"Mar Adentro" ("sea inside") it was one of the few spanish movies i've watched and i enjoyed it very much. especially the landscape of Galicia . from Almodovar the only one i've watched was "la mala educación" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0275491/), which i think its a very nice movie but i didnt like it. the thing i missed the most were the girls watched fight club (finally) some days ago and really enjopyed it.

Benny and Joon Love it, an adorable film. Sometimes I think the 80s/early 90s really *was* the best time for imaginative storylines and characters.

I just watched the Amytaville horror (not sure how to spell it) but this film is definatly going in my faves. The reason for this is because one of the children reminds me of my friends little sister, who both look the same and freak me out aswell. It was great how they emphasized how the father was losing his sanity every day Don't want to spil it for for other people but it is a must see.

Night Watch and Day Watch - very interesting ideas I saw Night Watch for the third time last weekend - I enjoy it a lot. Day Watch hasn't been released in Australia yet - I hope it comes out at the cinemas, and not straight to video.

Last night I've seen the Ninth Gate for the fifth time. I still like it very much, due to the theme. My other favourite nowadays is The Name Of The Rose.
