A really awesome plaid with a celtic knotwork on it. I bought it at a market in France during my holiday last week. I was searching for a nice plaid for at least 6 months, and I found the perfect one: Nice knotwork, and the color is matching with the color on my walls. I am so happy with it! Too bad my camera broke down so I can't make pictures of it

Not that my room wouldn't already look like a forest with all the stones and wood I have there to prevent my guinea pigs from running under or behind the furniture but when I saw those today I just had to get them. Could be the perfect buckets for the hay. I'm sure Matti & Pekka will be delighted

I went to a second-hand bookstore and found an Arthur Miller book "The Air-Conditioned Nightmare". Although I haven't heard of Aurther Miller, it was in the science fiction section so I guess it must be okay. It caught my eye because there's a Mr Bungle song by the same name, and I wondered if the song was inspired by the book. I'll have to read it and find out! I also bought a book called "The Love Letters of Abelard and Heloise". My mother told me about this book, apparently its letters between a nun and a monk in the middle ages. They couldn't have a relationship in the normal sense because of their religious beliefs and the restrictions of the age they lived in, but they wrote long philosophical, theological letters to each other throughout their lifetime. I'm quite looking forward to reading this one too. I can't go into a bookshop without buying something I've started tracking my collection on-line. Its a waste of time but fun too: www.librarything.com/catalog/crazysparklecat

I bought 3 cd:s on Friday cos' that was my last working day at this summer and those cost only 8,95 euros each.
Kalmah: For the Revolution Opeth: Ghost reveries Swallow the Sun: Hope
I bought Opeth cos' I have heard so much positive about that album and I am embarrassed to say not knowing much about that band
Hope will be the third great album which helps me to fall asleep. It is so heavy, slow and melodic and the vocals are half growling and half clean so it is idealistic album for sleeping. The other albums are Moonsorrow's Hävitetty and Tulimyrsky. Of course I like to listen those albums also on other situations

Lately I bought
Dire Straits - Brothers in arms Lake of Tears - Moons and Mushrooms Rymäkkä - Kvantti Rymäkkä - Iskee kuin puolitoista volttia Amorphis - Tales from the Thousand Lakes
Then the dvd of Nói Albinói since I liked that movie when I saw it in the cinema and it cost only 4 euros. Also I bought a pair of trousers and some other clothes. Actually it's a good strategy for those people who hate buying clothes. Go to some place, think you will stay there for some days and then just stay there for weeks. As soon as your clothes start to smell and you can't wash them you might go and finally buy some new ones ;D

I found the somewhat elusive Champaign-Urbana sessions of King Crimson in a used record store today, bought it for $7.99.
Definitely some of the best I've heard from them- if you like progressive rock, then try and find this!

Today I received 3 cds in the mail: Eluveitie - Slania Heidevolk - Walhalla Wacht Metsatöll - Curse Upon Iron Slania is really great. The songs on this album have a lot of power and Inis Mona is especially good, and was even better live. Walhalla Wacht is very solid, not a dissapointing track on that one. Dutch and metal just go together so well. Wodan Heerst is probably my favorite so far. Curse Upon Iron is actually a cd/dvd with the cd being most of the live audio from the dvd. This is the only Metsatöll cd I've found in the New World that wasn't $50+. Very very good. The choir accompaniment is better on the dvd than the cd, but it still sounds pretty cool. Not sure if I can pick a favorite, maybe Hundiraev, Saaremaa Vägimees, or Hiiekoda. I'm a sucker for the songs with the torupill (bagpipes) . I found the somewhat elusive Champaign-Urbana sessions of King Crimson in a used record store today, bought it for $7.99. Wow, I had no idea King Crimson recorded an album there. Champaign Urbana is only a 20 minute drive from here. I'll have to see if I can find it somewhere .

But ok, I will keep that in mind. Two days ago I was on a great Iron Maiden show in Warsaw, and I bought an official tour t - shirt. It has the cover of Live After Death album on front, and Eddie as a mummy on the back, with the whole tour dates.
