I translated this review:
Korpiklaani (clan of Raven) is an eight headed Folk Metal Band, which delivered their second album ‘Spirit of the forest’ in one-and-a-half year. This band was formerly named Shaman, and had probably a somewhat different sound. I have to state that Korpiklaani shouldn’t be mixed up with, or compared to Finntroll or Moonsorrow. They do not sing in their mother tongue, but in English, which is also nice. They have not much to do with humppa either! ‘Spirit of the forest’ is a consequent continuation of their debut album ‘Voice of wilderness’. The predecessor contained more Folk and somewhere, more Genuine-Metal, but this album is more uniform and has nice Folk Metal with pleasant sounding violins, flutes, percussion and an accordion. There are also some real party and drinking songs like ‘Beer Beer!’ en epic-hymnic tracks, but also playful songs like ‘Pine woods’. In the whole ‘Spirit of the forest’ is suitable for every forest party with a lot to drink (only guessed this expression, can someone German tell me what ‘birne zuschütten’ means?), but also nice to listen to at home. Great album which struck the right note, every fan of Folk metal should buy it!
I think there's a mix up between the names of those two albums... ;D

Frostheim, of course you are right! I forgot to mention that too. ;D The author mixes things up. But wrote a very positive review nevertheless.
I think every clan-member knows what Korpiklaani means.
(Some time ago, we were busy making Morrigan-costumes for a fair, and called ourselves fur fun Korppiklaani)

I think every clan-member knows what Korpiklaani means. I know that of course, and that's why I quoted the original text written by a non-member, to whom the translations of the words thus were directed as well.

I've read once that they perform all songs in Swedish, because they thought that language was more suitable for the kind of music the make...
(and Finnish sounds so great...)

Swedish as the performing language is some ways quite obvious for (most) members of Finntroll have got it as their second mother tongue. It was only Katla`s second language

It was only Katla`s second language Ah, somehow I understood once when reading an interview that Swedish would be the second language for more than only one member. Thanks for the correction, heh.

EDIT: Kyl mää nimpal kauhiast tukkosest miälest kärssi sain. Is it possible to translate this? I'd love to see Finnish and the translation as well. I try to learn something... and, well, no...I'm not curious at all ;D
