This would be a thread for things and news what is happening in Korpiklaani chapter USA.At least I know that there in the USA you have a metal music print magazineis called Metal Maniacs. Now on the newest issue there is a giant Korpiklaani poster, size A1with the magazine. www.metalmaniacs.com/next_issue.cfm

Yeah you understand it. If Korpiklaani goes touring in the US, there will be less gigs in Europe ... But well... Everybody should be able to go to Korpiklaani gigs after all...

Hmmm I must say its gonna be awsome if korpiklaani becomes famous all over, but th band would forget about us If they tour the US then obviously they would get alot of media coverage from heavy metal magazines and tv channels like scuzz...hopefully not kerrang or MTV I better hurry my ass to one of their gigs before they are as big as 'Tallica and only see them when the ony chance to see them is at one the the UK's biggest festival (download festival) Although if Klaani does something to attract major attention fast they could put in for the eurovision then play at the above mentioned festival

Hmmm I must say its gonna be awsome if korpiklaani becomes famous all over, but th band would forget about us We had that diskussion some years ago here already, when Korpiklaani startet getting known outside Finland. We thought that in 2 years (which would be now) they would have forgotten about us already. But they haven't yet. So give them a chance! I totally grant the guys to get famous all over the world. They deserve it. They just shouldn't end up totally drugged and always stoned like some other musicians. Damn... I want that big poster from the link above for my wall in my job-office. ;D

Yeah. I agree with you with you twi that the deserve it... because they do. Im presuming that they wouldn't be drugged up all the time, as I'm assuming they don't do that stuff. Just boozed up all the time They have all my respect more than any other bands I adire like Sabbath, motorhead, 'tallica... you know, all the classic bands

There is a fine balance between drinking for inspiration and drinking to the point where you are making rehab music like st. anger... yuck! hehhee but I can't imagine that Korpi would ever get to a sorry point like that they totally deserve fame though, maybe between Korpi and Finntroll they will make folk metal famous in America, that would be amazing

The worst thing would be if they ever lost they pleasure in making music, if it would be like: ' yeak, another gig... well, okay let's do it, but i'd rather stay home.' Then the magic would be gone soon. I hope those things will never be, and that all world can enjoy these great gigs! On topic again:
Can you, Americans, give names (+websites and eventually more useful info) of good and suitable festivals in USA?

Can you, Americans, give names (+websites and eventually more useful info) of good and suitable festivals in USA? ProgPower is a very popular one, and a good candidate for a band like Korpiklaani. Sonata Arctica is the headliner this year. www.progpowerusa.comThere's also the infamous Ozzfest, but it probably wouldn't be the kind of place for Korpiklaani to play. I'll put the site here anyway. www.ozzfest.comI'd really like to see just a general tour, especially a gig here (Apparaently I live in the same area as bearbones!): www.jaxxroxx.comHope this helps!
