I think Heathen Crusadewould be the most likely place for 'klaani to play. Even though it's held in Canada, it would be easier get some club gigs for 'klaani in the US since they would be already on the same continent

I know that alot of clubs would have 'Klaani play. It will take a while, but if you want links to some clubs in the USA, I can do it. I'd do anything to see them live.

Aye. I live here on the East Coast of the USA. I've been to clubs in MA, RI, and CT so far. I can find names, ect.
We dont have many festivals here in the US. We -DO- have Ozzfest, Gigantour, and PowerProg. PowerProg is down in Atlanta and Ozzfest and Gigantour go all over.
I dont know anything about the logistics but I think a Klaani tour with another prominent folk metal band would be a good idea.
Too bad they arent on the US leg of the Paganfest tour. When I first head about it I went wild.. then I saw no 'klaani and became sad.

Yes, it's pity, that we couldn't join the Pagan Fest US part but I'm pretty sure we will come later this year also to States. Keep on bombing your local concert and festival promoters. Without your wishes the promotors don't know book us to gigs there.

Hrm.. very curious also. I'll see if I can get in touch with some of the local venues and promoters.
I'd be pretty pumped about a 'Klaani concert close by.

HAU! Come to the States! Your good word is spread and the forest clan is in high demand! I only wish you would follow Pegan Fest... To see Tyr, Ensifirum and Korpi on one night... well, i'd die a happy man. On a side note... Im presuming that they wouldn't be drugged up all the time, as I'm assuming they don't do that stuff. Just boozed up all the time Our viking forefathes would eat Magical mushrooms before entering battle, assending them into an animalistic and unstopable rage. The healers of many nordic tribes used the good Green Herb as a means of healing, rightfully so. Now, if we're talking Cocaine and Heroine, fuck that. But know your past before you judge our present.

Agreed on that, Orca! People have funny biases... As for the topic at hand: the Heathen Crusade Festival seems like an obvious choice, although according to their website, the date for the next one seems uncertain. Though perhaps it might be a good time to start trying to get 'klaani in there! I doubt that Korpi are popular enough for something like Ozzfest (and they would have to share the stage with MUCH LOUSIER bands... yegh!)... but Heathen Crusade would be perfect... I think! I went to BB Kings club in NYC to see Finntroll this past fall, and I must say it was PACKED. Finntroll is getting surprisingly popular in the U.S., considering. I think a Finntroll+Korpiklaani double tour would be just the thing... saw Amon Amarth a couple of months ago at Slim's in San Francisco, and that was so sold out there were people outside trying to buy tickets from scalpers. Then again, Amon Amarth, being death metal, is more suited for the American palate... but still... at any rate, I'm sure that all the venues that had Finntroll play on their tour, would have Korpiklaani as well, and if they are well-advertised as "something like Finntroll" then the shows I think would be very well attended, and voila... a new American fan base will be born...

Indeed. Im trying to poke at my local promoter.. if I can manage to find him.
As much as I'd love to see 'Klaani in the US, I'd love to go see them local in their homeland. A concert, a pub, good times.

Jonne. is there a chance you'll tour Japan again in support of the new album? If so, I'd like to start getting on the backs of Aussie promoters, and see if there's a chance to bring you here at the same time!
